Silsbee beat 6A top 10 Summer Creek 3-2 today in tournament play. The girls are very young and are off to a hot start. Freshmen starting at short, 3rd, and RF. 16 + home runs already and the defense is improving. Let’s keep it going.

How do you feel they will do in the district this year? According to game changer, the district is way down.

This is the best chance we’ve had to win district in a long time. Time will tell.

I think they won at least one back when Jason Morgan was the coach around 2012 or so.

Silsbee has won 3 district championships: 

2009 Co-champions 

2010 District Champion

2012 Undefeated District Champion

The ‘09 & ‘10 teams made it to the Regional semifinals losing heartbreaking games to top five team.

Silsbee starts off the Franklin tourney by going 3-0 yesterday. Shelby Crosson with 2 more home runs, which brings her season total to 6. Rountree hit one as well. They currently stand at 15-2. Both losses were by a combined total of 4 runs, including a 5-2 defeat at the hands it Orangefield. They will continue tourney play in the gold bracket tomorrow.

This is coach’s dad, and yes she did. Picking up right where she left off last year. Great role model for the younger kids.
