purple reign Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Im proud of the Cats for overcoming all the injuries (I didn't know until game time that Angleton's best RB, Wyatt Neyland had an injury and would't play). It's an ankle injury and hopefully he will be back next week. Glad to see Boss Mack back. This was Angleton's lowest point total all year. Good luck to Crosby and the other Dist 11 teams in the playoffs. Quote
purple reign Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago The stats from this game tell a story. Angleton held Crosby to 46 yds rushing. Angleton only passed 6 times (113 yds) but had almost as many yds as Crosby did on 25 attempts (127 yds). Before the 2nd half last week against La Porte, Kasen Jammer in 2 years, a CB, had never played on offense. He carried 7 times against La Porte for 91 yds (13.0 yds/carry) from the wildcat. He also returned the opening kickoff for a TD although he has been on the return team all year. Against Crosby, he also carried 7 times for 113 yds (16 yds/carry) from the wildcat. He also completed 2 o2 passes for 13 yds. I think 1 of those passes to his WR older brother Kaleb. Maybe they should put him on offense all the time even though he has been very good at CB, was named defensive newcomer of the year for defense for the district last year. Quote

(Sp) did better at QB last night. He did nothing to cost y’all & actually played pretty well IMHO. The Jammers need to be used as much as possible like we said pregame. They’re ballers. But, may have to do like LP with Ruffin, and spot play in situations. You need them on D as well. Keep ‘em busy. They’re young. lol La Porte didn’t really know what to expect from y’all. Crosby had a chance to view, and still couldn’t stop you…and they have a solid D. Y’all aren’t done by any stretch. Crosby may also rebound. (If some of their fans don’t get the coach run off first. 😬.) Crosby is steady. Not explosive. LP had Simon & Ruffin both at/over 250 against y’all. Well over 500 yards rushing. LP’s late TO’s let y’all back in the game. That, and LP’s arm tackling that they seem to have issues with every now and then. LP’s thrown INT in y’all’s end zone, and the fumbled KO gave y’all a lot of momentum late. LP needs to finish better. Quality opponents from here on out. Quote
