Region III Girls

Hey, PNG is ranked #8 in the TASCO Region III rankings.  Are you all surprised?  Did you expect more?  Less?

Where do you review the TASCO regional rankings for various classes? thanks

Go to the TASCO website, and click on the current newsletter.  You will find boys and girls 5A and 4A rankings for both the state and each of the four regions.

It is for the public schools only and it says the rankings were put together by coaches in attendence of the meeting.  After around Jan 10 when teams have a week under their belt the public schools will start to sort out.  I didnt see anything that surprised me but that PnG was ranked high as they were.  Hope they are that good.  Go Lady NdNS

Okay, I went to the site and looked. How are both the boys and girsl teams from Witchita Falls rated #1 in 4A? Are they close enough to any metropolitan area to have top-notch club or feeder programs?

To Shark -- you should join the organization and try to get more inclusive rankings done.

To Watash, yes they have strong club programs in the Wichita Falls area.  The Rider boys won the State Championship last year, and the Rider girls lost to eventual State Champion The Colony last year in the semifinals of the State Tournament.  From what I saw, I thought my Lady Mustangs (who lost 1-0 to the Colony in the State Final) were a better squad, but I won't quibble right now (and, I may be prejudiced!).
