tvc184 Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 Ancelet's makes a jalepeño and a jalepeño/cheese deer sausage that is great. There are no chuncks of jalepeño in it but you get the flavor without being overpowering. They either puree it or chop it very small and add just the right amount (IMO).
bh89-2 Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 The worse deer sausage I have ever had made was in Mid-County (Nederland I think). Don't recall the name but it was a meat market just down the street from Diver's Den Dive Shop. 2nd worse was last week at Jackson's Deer Proccesing in Crosby,Texas. Best was in Moulton and 2nd best was in El Campo.

txstar Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Ivy Jackson makes a really good sausage, consistent every time and his prices are good. I enjoyed the sausage and especially the deer boudain from Zummos but getting 2 deer done can cost you a load of cash.
