3a's Best two teams in State from same District

I believe that is the case chief.  I really did not see anything special about Jasper.  I thought BC beat them selves in there series.  But hey, I guess I was wrong.    To bad we could not have met up at state.

Alot of people saw nothing special, they didn't have any super stars, no ace  pitcher, no one wth a division one scholorshp or drafted by MLB, just a team that was solid from top to bottom. Every player had mutiple hits at the state tourney, you cannot name one player out of their 10-11 starters who did not save them a game in their playoff run, by making a great defensive play or a crucial hit. It was truley a team effort. Thats what made them special they pulled together when they needed to and never gave up.

I agree that Jasper wasn't loaded with superstars, but were just solid from top to bottom.  They played great defense (most of the time).  They had 4 pithcers that no one except Mixon had a clue as to who was going to pitch, and all of them got the job done.  They had every kid in the line up get a base hit in the state finals and set the record for the most runs scored in that game.  Nothing speacial but STATE CHAMPS.

    • I get it now. You are a Biden fan.😀
    • A good question that you choose not to answer I guess lol. He was good enough to play varsity on most 3A teams as a freshman. He just wasn't the best option as a starting qb for Woodville yet and the coaching staff decided it would be better to have him getting more reps on jv rather than being a back up or playing another position on varsity. It was a good decision in my opinion but I can understand your stance to some extent. But the claims that someone is purposely trying to hold him back is just bogus.
    • When did you see him. Probably didn’t realize he had virtually no reps in practice he just stood around and got a little work running opposing teams plays. The only instruction he got was going to camps  and working with the professionals which was a blessing. Most kids only get daddy ball instruction that’s why you don’t see them at the next level.
    • Like this kinda background work? Do I need to do more?  After the 1996 election, Babin became involved in a campaign finance scandal concerning $37,000 in illegal donations from businessman Peter Cloeren that were moved through "vehicles" to circumvent the individual contribution limit of $1,000.
