They could have beaten Ozen and we still wouldn't be scared. They think 22-5A is a cake walk, but we don't serve cake in this District.

Nobody saying 22-5A a cakewalk  but we taking the whole cake, thats how we coming. Battle tested by 21-6A comp, yall would only win 1 game in our old district if that, Sterling would give yall a game.

Guess that means Memorial would still be at the bottom

How is Memorial's o line and running backs supposed to look for this season? I know they're gonna have solid skill players but losing an FBS and D2 running back in on class is tough.

Also, hows the defense gonna look? (minus Vincent)

As far as the o-line I counted 5 sophs and 2 JRs last season on the roster that should be back, hopefully they can get that shored up, haven't had a good offensive line since 2013, Kam didnt even have a 100yd game or a TD until midseason I believe. Have no clue who will be at RB, have heard Kam's brother but IMO he's too small.

Defense: the secondary as a whole should be good, the front seven had better be better than the last 2 yrs or it will be a repeat of the last 2 yrs as far as our record goes, actually gotta wrap up and tackle and not try to go for the big hit or strip all the time. Run defense left alot to be desired the last 2 yrs and in this new district if you cant stop the run you're more than likely gonna take a fat L unless your offense is just that good.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
