Three Junior pitchers combine on a 3 hit shutout.  Game was played in 1 1/2 hours.  No errors were committed by either tema and only like 2 walks.  BH pitchers struckout 7 and the Bay City pitcher had about the same.  Very unusual opening day contest.  Hunter Silva got the win and Ross Hales pitched the final inning for the save.

I agree very unusual game for a season opener..BH 1-0 in very well played game by two good teams. Pitching, pitching, and more pitching still the key for BH...along with a little timely small ball. Thamm ( 2 IP ), Silva ( 4 IP ), and Ross Hales ( 1 IP ) all looked sharp on the mound combining for the shutout. Very strong game from catcher ( Campbell ) and CF ( McDonald ). 6th inning single by McDonald, sac bunt from Garner, and RBI single from Soph SS Tony Carmona was the difference in the ball game. Competition doesn't get any easier as BH faces Beaumont Westbrook and Houston Christian on Thursday @ the Houston Christian tourney. Friday's opponent is against a very strong Flower Mound team.
