We are not perfect these days, good Lord far from it, but I am thankful this isn't common place anymore. Truly sad how one person can look at another and not see an equal human being.
I have never once understood racism and never will. The thought one color is better than all the rest is disgusting to me. I have made jokes just like anyone else in life yet there is a great difference in a jab at stereotypes and saying or doing anything out of hate.
And I hope one day more white Americans embrace the black community trying to find ways to honor the inexcusable past of America. That past doesn't belong to just one of us, it's all ours to come to grips with.

That is horrible and I wish it was not part of our history. While I agree with most everything Gabe said, every race has a past. It's going to take both sides, not just once. We can look at the Civil War, 620,000 people lost their lives in 4 years......that's 440 people a day. I sure wish we could do that over, but unfortunately it's the past and we have to learn from our mistakes and move forward.
