  1. Very true that the fans freak about winning and losing more than the players!  The girls play to win every single game! Lumberton, Nederland, PNG girls continue to add credibility to the soccer in SETX.  Silsbee, Jasper, LCM, HF, Vidor, too.  Best of luck to the Lumberton girls tonight, and if they lose, you can bet I will be pulling for Midway at the Region 3 tourney on Friday!!!!
  2. Lumberton's #12 hit first...to clarify...Nederland dominated the game, just couldn't get one in the net...Lumberton kept at it and made a play...tough way to end the season for Nederland...there is not enough luck or enough refs to get Lumberton by Midway...Midway 7-0 at least!
  3. How good are the Brenham girls this year? GO District 37 & 38 girls!!!!
  4. Loudmouth...regarding byes in the 4A bracket...the UIL has implemented the 64 district bracket in anticipation of schools adding soccer programs...next season, they anticipate filling some of those empty districts.  Before the UIL split 5A and 4A in 1999, it was set up the same way...lots of byes in the bracket back then.  In Region 3, the districts that are "empty" are 34, 36, 39, and 47, so there are byes in those places on the bracket.
  5. No smack...just an observation based on history...this is the first time PNG has beaten Ned twice in regular district play...ever. Last year was a tie- break because they split the regular district games. Congratulations to PNG and good luck in the playoffs.
  6. It will be tough for Nederland to win without some first half goals!
  7. GIRLS...2009 Lumberton beat Nederland in the Sectional Round...2-1 The post previous to my posting that on the 20th was a reference to GIRLS!!!!! Pay attention and confusion van be easily avoided. (by the way, Nederland's boys are the best in 2010)
  8. Lumberton 2, Nederland 1 SECTIONAL round 2009 FYI...
  9. Congratulations to all high school swimmers for great performances since October! Kudos to H-J and PN-G for adding swimming to their athletic departments. Nederland's PATRICK WILSON qualified for State in the 100 Breaststroke. Congratulations to Nederland:  4 consecutive years with at least 1 State qualifier :D ;D GOOD LUCK IN AUSTIN NEXT WEEKEND
  10. You will have to beat Nederland twice, you know...good luck with that!
  11. Which coach has favorites? Ned or PNG? Both are eligible to retire, I think. Maybe the the district can buy out their contracts...HA! It's high school, for Pete's sake, leave 'em alone and let them play! Some of you have NO CLUE AT ALL !!!!!
  12. Washburn and the Ned girls will be a FORCE in 2010...watch out!!! I hear they are getting a super 9th grade group...true? or is that just talk?
  13. What a great opportunity in an awesome city! Best of luck to you and your family. I hope Nederland hires a quality coach for those boys.
