  1. Dang it I was going to stay quite, but I can't help my self! Forgive me for I know not what I do ;D Where have you been? oh And I don't care what the technical coaching term for " The Play" is I just know that last year a blind 90 year old woman called out the play before it happened ;D If she can do it a DC can to ;D Oh and Cleveland was playing the kind of Defense that kept us at ZERO! When you come up for air tell us why the plays we run are so succesful tell us about the State Championships that we almost won with them, tell us of a team that we beat with them that was worth a dang! Nevermind let me help. If the kids did this and this and this then our plays and calling would work ;D Come on coach learn us all something!!I'm just a poor burger flipper and cannot possible understand, but I'll Try.
  2. Who cares I just want to see the half time show ;D ;D
  3. I don't think the problem is move-ins not having talent. More like if you're not "from the hill" youre not given the opportunity. Eagleseyes showed the typical BH mentality of go back where you came from no invited you here. Don't get me wrong, not everyone is like that though. Don't move mom! Some folks just don't like opions outside of "Rah Rah we are the greatest no matter what" ;D Most of them are folks that spend so much type trying to suck theirselfs into some political position at BH they forget reality There are alot of move ins (Not me Born and Bred) that are bringing some talented kids in a well as teachers to BH. Although I hate seeing this little town blow up it is bound to happen when you have one of the best school districts from top to bottom in the area and maybe the state!
  4. That Catch that Cleveland made by the way wasn't like he was wide open either. That kid for Cleveland made and awesome catch and ended up holding the ball up against his the side of his helment for the catch BH will be a better team this year and I hope that all envolved bring BH back to their winning ways! I want to go watch someone besides Dayton in the playoffs
  5. Me likey ;D ;D escept for the shamless plug at the bottom left corner ;D ;D Good job guys!
  6. Write up from the baytown sun Baytown Sun BH/Cleveland write up
  7. I'm not going to get to go to this one, so yall will have to miss my expert analysis of the scrimmage ;D ;D I think last year BH handeled Memorial pretty good last year (Seems like they tied). They are a pretty weak 5A that went 4-6 last year, but sqeezed into the playoffs which the lost to Beaumont West Brook in round one 51-35. Last scrimmage hope its a good one next up PNG 8)
  8. The Defense did do a good job if I didn't say that earlier and 99 I don't think anyone doubts the heart and effort that these players give to the game. Eagle Eyes if you coached on this team for the past 7 years and do not realize that our play calling is predictable and conservative then there is no way I could possibly make you see the light. This is our problem as the rest of the coaches are reading the post and going "HUH our play calling is excellent the scheme is great and our adjustments are impeccable, If the kids would just do this, this and this then we would be state champs every year". All that I know is that we cannot continue to blame the outcome of our games on just the talent! You cannot tell me that we have not had talent at BH in the past 9 years. We have been to round three one time in Prices time here in 99'! Is that the best we can do here at the HILL? I don't think so. It's time for a 4A coaching staff at BH or the current one needs to come up with some new ideas to make BH better! I'm sure all of the coaches at BH are good men and no doubt they are working their butts off and work long hours to achieve success. Coaching was their carear choice and flipping burgers was mine! I make great burgers and work long hours mastering the burger flip and have no complaints from my boss or customer(Fries are next! I'm pumped),so what is BH's problem ??? This is my last comment on the subject so fire away! I hope BH comes together and has a successful 09' season Good luck to the coaches, players and all that are involved to entertain us burger flipping stand coaches that don't know anything ;D For most of us we will just have to agree to disagree. It's still early a lot can happen Go EAGLES!!!!!!!!!
  9. Ok here are my thoughts for the scrimmage. Both QB's looked rusty and I don't recall a crisp pass from either. I was hoping that Bradford in the backfield would be a little more agressive on Offense. I'm hoping that the playcalling will get much more dynamic as the season begins. The plays that are run at BH are spent any Defense within 100 miles of BH should know how to stop the Eagles! Now knowing that this is a scrimmage BH is looking to try things out and finialize starting positions for the year. Also Knowing I say that every year and the season becomes the scrimmage.Hmmmmmmmmm Good notes! The defensive wasn't bad at all knowing that Cleveland returned the house they didn't do to shabby containing the Indians! Also Who is the Soph. QB!! I got there a little early and watch the Soph. they looked really good against the Cleveland JV and the QB for BH had some wheels along with a pretty good arm. In closing although i have watched our playcalling year after year with little or no improvement. I hope this is the year that the gloves come off! Conservative play calling will get BH another year sitting home, Come on take some chances and beleive in these kids!
  10. Almost time to see some football ;D Can't wait till game 1, but a scrimmage should hold me over.
  11. Just messin ;D ;D Everyone knows BH will have the best JV team in the country its silly that anyone would compair ;D
  12. From the Baytown Sun Barbers Hill won all three of its matches Thursday to improve to 4-0 on the season. The Eagles beat 5A Channelview 25-20, 25-14, 25-14; 5A Lee 25-10, 25-10, 25-17; and 5A Brazoswood 31-29, 25-10, 25-19.
  13. Don't even get me started ;D If this Sexton is on the same level as Dale it is going to be a pleasure watching him!
  14. Thanks for the update! I would have showed up an hour late and been pissed ;D
  15. A Blitz! A Blitz! No way ;D ;D Thats what other teams to us untill we make an adjustment the last 4 minutes of the game
  16. Its at the HILL this year and the one against Pasadena Memorial is here next weekend as well. Cleveland returned the house ,so they should be very good. Not sure about the Back though See Write up link below Cleveland Indians
  17. I've seen it for 9 years if they change I'll buy everyone a shake!! ;D
  18. Ok Back on topic. My predictions is that if WOS loses then all of the WOS posters will have to change their signature to "WOS has won everygame but 1 in district for the last 30 years" ;D ;D Go Tigers!!!
  19. I'm assuming this is the Sexton of the past brother. If so I hope he's like his brother ;D ;D
  20. Thank God football is almost here ;D ;D Can't wait to get a look at the team this Saturday against the Indians. Last year the scrimmage (Controlled) was won by Cleveland I think either 4-2 or 3-2 and although BH doesn't go out to win scrimmages I hope to see something to get an idea of what the BH team might look like this season! Aug. 15 Cleveland 7pm
  21. I'm keeping my fingers crossed ;D Goodluck to the Bronco's as well! Should be another stellar season for Dayton!
  22. Their gonna need about 10 more to be exact ;D , but outside of the players there will need to be some agressive play calling! Take some chances! It always seems that we are playing not to lose instead of to win. The run left, right , middle, punt ain't gonna get us know where in a hurry 8) I'm hoping to see some slant patterns by Carter Smith this year! I think they did that once and he must have gotten to much yards because it just didn't happen to much after that! Smith can fly to the ball!
  23. Ok you got me hanging ::)Buffaloes??? Tell me more ;D
  24. Thanks for the updates guys and keep them coming! There are a lot of hard working kids on this team and they will entertain us old farts this season for sure ;D ;D I'm looking forward to seeing how much Bradford has improved this year. Last year I though he looked pretty good out there and he had some size for a Sophmore as well as some glimpses of speed! In the scrimmage against Clevleand last year he broke one for about 70 and smoked the d-backs, but did get to see to much of that break away speed in the season. Hopefully we have some guys that can lay down some blocks this year and we can see that speed again. Any idea what Kade is running in the 40?
