A little homework??? It would not surprise me if Stewart has been looking at film of SS since pre-season. Stewart is the MAN and I know he will have the Bronco's ready for SS. Dayton has 3 D1 recruits.. Cody Green to Nebraska.. AJ Dugat to Houston/Texas (hopefully TX) and Coach Stewart (He could be D1 if he wanted to but he loves these kids and has that purple kool-aid in his blood) I also heard that USC/LSU/Florida/and Oklahoma have been trying to get that Goat kid but he turned all of them down to go to the U.S. Marines..

They are beatable. You can see by their record. They are on cloud 9 just by being in the state championship game. So are we in Dayton. This game will not be a blowout and please please please Dave Campbell. Please pick us to loose. I actually picked SS and Dayton to win last week. Maybe he should hire me. Im am obviously WAY better then the guys that he pays to pick the games. I wonder if he knows the officials at the games. If he does, It shows!!

Clean up the riverwalk?? Nope... But with the cold air it dont stink. Its actually nice at night around the christmas season. I wouldnt recommend swimming EVER!!!

Im not making any excuses about calls because I saw that 2pt. conversion with my own eyes and was dang sure hoping they wouldnt show a replay of it on the big screen. On the other hand. The only call that got by blood boiling is the one that was on the Dayton sideline and they called a late hit after the Tivy players pinkie toe went out of bounds and he kept running. Our player had to do what he did. It was unclear if the play was over or not. I almost thought I saw another bad call but the sun reflected of Brett's head and I missed it.

Yes both of these teams have played outdoors but both coaches would rather not have to worry about field conditions. I wouldnt want the state championship game played on a cold wet field. First of all as a Dayton fan, AJ has more moves than a chicken on exlax. He would be slipping down on a wet field. The SS fans would want their Michael Vick like QB playing on a dry field too. I think this is the best place for the game. Reliant is too close to Dayton and Texas Stadium is too close to SS. San Antonio is a great place to see the game and then go to the riverwalk Saturday night. It will be like a mini vacation and you get to see a heckofa game. P.S. The riverwalk is all lit up with christmas lights this time of the year. If you fellow's out there want to impress your wife or lady friend, then Sat. night on the riverwalk would be great.

OHHHH my goodness. I just got home from watching the game.. Tivy was keying on Green running the ball. I knew it would open up for Dayton when we started passing and it did. AJ is by far the game MVP. It was amazing to see him strip that ball at the end. Let me tell you, when the Tivy QB put the ball into the air, it just hung up there. I thought for sure it was going to be and interception. When the Tivy player came down with it everyone on the Dayton side put their heads down and when they looked up, AJ was going the other way with the ball. It was like he took a handoff from a QB. Nobody was even holding the Tivy player up. AJ just ran up to him took the ball and took it the other way. Great Great Great Game. Luckily I live in San Antonio and get to see my Bronco's in my own back yard next week. I gotta give it to them. Tivy played a good game and they have nothing to be ashamed of. But they should feel kinda cheap about getting a touchdown after that minus 20 yd punt because of the wind..

What about that kid they called Goat. He was a swell athlete. He had hands like glue and was the fastest on the team.

Maybe we can get Barry Sanders to come work at Thrif-tee's in Dayton. Then his son can play for the Bronco's. Im sure that Barry Sanders dont have a job. So, sacking groceries would actually be a pay raise.

I just love the Dayton and Crosby game. Thats the game I look forward to. Now, the game that I am not looking forward to is Dayton vs. Friendswood. That is gonna be a big uphill battle for Dayton next year.

DANG I am soooooooo slow.... I finally put 2 and 2 together and got 5.. OK so this Ardist fellow yall keep talking about played spades too? I went to high school with his sister and got to hear about how he broke all of the spades records at Army. Yes I said ARMY.. Yall know what Army is right?? If you dont know, they are the ones that keep getting beat every year by NAVY.. But, to be honest. The only reason Navy keeps winning is because of all of the Marines that are on the team. Today would have been Derrick Briggs' 31st Birthday.

I remember when I met Derrick back in first grade and we have been friends every since. He was a very smart and talented athlete. Alot of you know about Derrick's football, baseball, track, and basketball career but he also rode bucking horses and steers in junior rodeo's back in the days when we were in 3rd and 4th grade. I know he loved his baby, his mom and was proud to be a Dayton Bronco and a Red Raider. He will truely be missed. RIP Derrick Briggs and Zach Smith

Yes I think AJ is better then Dakari. I wish that Dak would have went somewhere where he would have been on the offensive side of the ball. If I remember correctly, he had the chance to go to Nebraska and would have stayed on offense. He was not a stud at Texas. He was always around the ball but was never the one making the tackle. Great athlete? YES!! but he was never the QB that Cody is, or the athlete that AJ is. The reason I was throwing Derrick Briggs name in as the best athlete from Dayton is because what he did in other sports, not just football. He was a very good baseball player that stole 39 bases his soph. year and was caught stealing. He went to regionals in track and ran a sub 2 minute 800m.. I think he set the Dayton record for 3 pointers in basketball. Plus all District in football. On top of all of that he was actually 5th in his class out of over 200 back in the mid 90's.

I just talked to a close family friend of Derrick Briggs and he said that Derrick did pass last night around two in the morning because of a car wreck.
