If it were me...your dang right I'd throw the game..LOL I would much rather face BC than WOS...HOWEVER..I'm not the coach, and I know Barbay well, and I can assure you he will not throw the game. He would rather face the challenge of WOS. I think this year CS can beat WOS...and to whoever said they wouldnt beat BC...What are you smoking? Coldspring is a good team, better than BC, and would send you guys packing! JMO! Barbay is going to play to win..just like his Dad. No backing down! We still miss Barbay, and would love to have him back in Kville!!! Coldspring is very lucky to have such as great coach!!! We'll be cheering them on through the playoff season!

So, Jasper didn't win this game, WOS lost it. Correct? Ill be so glad when West Orange finally plays a reputable team. These near losses and now losses to these team that cant compete with West Orange is not giving me any indication as to how good they really are. I have a message for all you other local teams in the area that dont have high expectations this year and should only have a average football team this year! This is the WOS Mustangs, they are coached by "THE DAN HOOKS", they are The winning program in the area, they are ranked anywhere from 1st to 3rd in state depending on what poll your looking at! They should dominate everyone locally and compete for a state title this year. So if the local officials dont stop throwing the flag everytime one of these players commits a foul and start giving them a break, and if you opposing coachs dont start taking it a little easier on these kids cause remember they are just sophomores, and defenses, just because they throw the ball to you or drop it dont mean you have to catch it or recover it every time, geez! If yall dont start getting on board and playing like you know you should then WOS cant win the games they are supposed to and will never be able to compete in the playoffs and go to state and then what would we do? :D :D

Wooo...that was too close for comfort Newton!!! Sounds like this was a great game. Hard fight to the end. Congrats to both teams. I do have to give props to my Lake Area teams though... CONGRATS ON THE WIN KVILLE, NEWTON AND JASPER!!!!

Well, Well...poor stangs!!! I'm so proud of the Bulldogs!!!! I have read every page on this thread and it just amazes me at some of the posts people make! lol I'm still in shock that Jasper beat WO-S, but from what I read, Jasper was the better team tonight. It seems like WO-S never could get going. Funny, kind of sounds like a repeat of last weeks game except, there was this thing...oh never mind..LOL anyway...back to the Dawgs!!! GREAT JOB BULLDOGS!!!! As for as the "dumping of ice" I can guarantee you if Kville had come away with the win, Alvarez would have gotten poured on too. Its not about a preseason game, or district game, its about a team that has dominated this ENTIRE area for so many years, that pretty much got it handed to 'em. They deserved the celebration. As usual, WO-S faithfuls come on here and discredit any team for playing better..making excuses that their team is so much better than this, its the penalties, dropped passes, etc..well maybe they're not! I know that's hard to fathem..but maybe just maybe, the other teams you've been playing have been much better and are the reasons for all the mistakes they're making. JMO!!!! WAY TO GO BULLDOGS AND THE KVILLE WILDCATS ON YOUR WIN TONIGHT!!!!

oh i see i just had a few people mixed up i guess lefrederick is a heck of an athlete if im not mistaking? And actually #15 JaMichael Irvine ran the ball quite a bit also. To me, Ford was not as affective in this game as I've seen him in the last few. Irvine really stepped up!!! "LITERALLY" or should I say ran forward.

ok ill buy that it was the worst game that wos played in six years but to say its the best game the wildcats played in forever is not true. Considering the team that beat you guys for the title last year is undefeated and only ranked 6th, I would doubt that KVille will get back into the top 10 this regular season with the 2 losses. Not complaining that Kville isn't in the top ten...didn't expect them to. But the team that Kville dominated in the semi's loses to 3A Sealy by 20 is still #4 ??? EXACTLY my point!! I really wasnt looking for them to be number 3 or anything, but at least move up a little! But its ok..we like being the UNDERDOG!!!

Didn't Barbay coach in Hamshire Fannet in their glory years also or was it another long time winning coach? I don't know who all his staff are but Barbay along with Hooks could easily be considered the best long time coaches (I just had a baby throw up in my mouth when I said that about Dan Ray) in the area, with Nueman also being in consideration. As far as short time coaches, thsoe with under say 5 years running their local programs, hands down to mee it is Coach Creduer and his staff. I'm not sure Barbay has ever coached anywhere else. I believe he has been at Newton his whole entire career..but I could be wrong!

Oh but I beg to differ...go north about 45 miles of Orange and you will see someone who has!!! CURTIS BARBAY...hes been doing it for just as long if not longer!!!!!

I'm not sure if Buna lost any players to graduation or not, but they were a pretty decent team last year. If same team minus a few, I may have to go with Buna winning but not by much.

I noticed that he was in the refs ears right after the game....what was with that? I know he wasn't happy but why at the refs, especially at the very end when they stopped the 2pt try? You'll make people upset around here by telling the TRUTH...so be careful!!!! It's easy to talk when your winning. Humility in losing is a whole other game. This is two weeks in a row where "the refs" have stolen a Kirbyville game. Get real. Funny you said that.. I can remember a year ago..same ole newton fans blaming refs in our game against you guys..But I dont recall blaming refs in the game against jasper...I recall blaming the 6-7 turnovers for that Loss.

And I guess I just need to respond to something that was insuated by another kville fan. Look...I'm ALL about praising our boys. You WILL NOT FIND another WILDCAT FAN AS DEVOTED AS I AM!!! TRUST ME!!! I was born and raised in Kirbyville, graduated from kirbyville, and have a kid who plays football for kville. So I really dont appreciate the comment that was made that I "pissed" people off for expressing my OPINION. I will defend our kids to the end, and I call it like I see it. I have an opinion just like anyone else does..doesnt mean you have to agree. Do I think the boys played an awesome game last night? Your dang right I do! They have nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone from kville has had to hear how we can no where be compared to WOS..and honestly I'm sick of it. Last night just proved that Kirbyville can definetely play with WOS and really not only play with them, we showed them we could almost beat them. So hats off to my favorite team and I WILL ALWAYS BE THERE TO SUPPORT YOU!!!
