  1. Last time I checked, everybody in Hardin blamed Villemez's injury as the downfall in that game (excuse...I think it is.) Everybody from Hardin was justifying last week's performance by stating how good Shepherd has gotten when nothing to very little has been stated about Shepherd's team on any posts (up to last week.) Another thing...the excessive stroking of the coaching staff's ego has gotten "out of hand." Beating Trinity is not something I would consider as a high mark of coaching excellence. Hardin has a stud in Villemez and not much after that. Finally, no disrespect is intended to the players of any program...just the idiots that place Hardin on a pedestal of a great program for years running when (like most programs) have strokes of good luck as far as athletes are concerned.
  2. This game will fall on either extreme of the spectrum...ugly or very close in favor of The Woodlands.
  3. I guess it is a big relief that Shepherd on another game. Hardin fans just need some justification for their poor performance last week. The most unfortunate thing is...we are going to have to listen to them justify their performance against Shepherd for at least the next week.
  4. Let's establish this... Anahuac, Hardin, and EC all return a large amount of starters. All are expected to make the play-offs. Anahuac vs. Hardin is expected to be the game of the year in the district. With all of that being said, it will be a competitive season...Hardin fans bring it upon themselves because they have been on the board since last spring arguing how they are the best team in the district (based on their success in 7-on-7.) Karma is a witch. Shepherd has been a "below average" program in recent years and got the best of Hardin. You only bring it on yourself due to all of the trash-talking that has been going on. One thing that I know about Hardin is they never know when to keep their mouths shut and just play football. On a final note, Anahuac does not talk as much trash on this board (unless it deals with Kirbyville) because they are focused on the upcoming district season and not the nice, new turf that Hardin installed this summer. YOU BRING IT ON YOURSELF!
  5. Clear Lake gave The Woodlands everything they could handle. These guys came out with a lot of heart and determination to succeed in this game and nearly did it. My "hat's off" to them.
  6. Hands down...the Barbays. Nothing needs to be said about Newton, period. Anahuac and Coldspring have seen vast improvements in the last two seasons. As long as they stay at the same schools that they're at, they will be contending. All of the periphery (facilities, success rate after high school, etc.) depends on the culture of the respective towns. Longstanding programs usually gain these items. We are talking about football and character-building. These guys are the best in the business.
  7. I would imagine... New Waverly... a lot West Hardin...a little Hopefully the fascist administrators will not deduct any karma points... As quoted in A Few Good Men they, "Can't handle the truth."
  8. Looks like somebody got a spanking for talking too much during class...
  9. Final--Anahuac 28 Concordia Lutheran 0 Congratulations to the players and staff!
  10. Way to go Panthers! Congratulations Coach Barbay and staff for getting a good win. For all of those "nay-sayers," don't sell the Panthers short this year. They have a good team with a lot of talent and plenty of ambition.
  11. You should not be on this site if you do not know where Newton is. (Southeast Texas football.)
  12. Baseball25, It would probably be beneificial to you to actually get in your vehicle and actually go watch some of these teams because Anahuac would have all of their numbers this year. Just quit being a sour-puss because Hardin didn't make the poll. 7 on 7 does not constitute a good 11 man football team. I guess this is wishful thinking on your part, and there's nothing wrong with that...however, your Hornets aren't good enough to beat my Panthers(best athletes in the district, hands down). But I will let you know that I'm rooting for y'all to make the playoffs!
  13. I would like to see Barbers Hill and Anahuac renew their Chambers County rivalry of years past.
  14. Anahuac is going to take the district again this season with Hardin coming in second with one loss and East Chambers in third with two losses.
  15. Kountze @ Anahuac Monday, May 11, 2009, at 6:00 p.m.
  16. Tanked is an understatement! Warren's pitcher threw maybe 50 mph, and he made Anahuac look bad.
  17. It's been rescheduled for Monday.
  18. What is it looking like in Kountze after all the rain we recieved the past two days?
  19. I say Anahuac takes this one in a nail-biter...7-5.
  20. Anahuac 5 Cleveland 4
  21. he really is the #2 pitcher....Crawford is #1... Aaron pitched a great game. The reason why everyone is talking about him is because he has not played since he made all district new comer on 3A. The real talk is Muscgrove batting almost .700. Also the SO Jones is batting almost .600. Batting only a few times usually means that your(BA) is up. just like start off new season with a hit your batting 1000 it goes down there are college and pro's that would love to keep a 700 (BA) but even they cant remember your in high school base ball and getting a big head a[bout people batting that its still fresh season boys and girls not only will that (BA) go down it might just plumit into the ground. Btw if you dont know what (BA) is its batting average I think you need to rewrite this entry...If I translated it correctly, you are merely stating obvious facts that has no bearing in an argument. (If you going to argue a point, then at least make yourself sound intelligent.)
  22. Liberty defeated Corrigan-Camden for consolation, and Anahuac lost to Tarkington in the third-place game.
  23. First district game. I'm looking for it to be a good one.
