  1. Two best games I can think of are the Jasper/Gilmer game..that was a workout just watching it. The second was in the 1994 when Jasper finally beat WO-S in the playoffs. It was the one and only time we beat them in the playoffs with several attempts. Felt good. Wasn't that game at SFA also?
  2. Which Ned. back signed with SFA? Was it Sumrall or did he go to NW?
  3. PA had the blazing fast Hurdler a few years ago, and Bryan Bronson from Jasper ran the hurdles in the olympics. Relay Team you have to mention Jasper's 39.9 team. Triple Jump Jasper had a kid set the State Record a few years ago at the state meet and come in 2nd at the same meet High Jump couple 7 foot jumpers come to mind. I was at the meet in Tarkington when Eisbach set one of his many records. Sprinters Jamaal Charles most recent, but there have been many state champs in the area.
  4. Nobody should beat WO-S this year, but stranger things have happened. I really don't think any of their district games should be very close. They are very talented this year and with the exception of Silsbee I think the other top teams in the district are a little down this year.
  5. Neat story
  6. Shane Dronett DE BC Curtis Soleau (sp?)TE Lincoln Are two I saw play that I haven't seen mentioned. Could mention some Jasper guy's but I am biased.
  7. Lumberton is not bad. Don't think they can beat Ned. but wouldn't be surprise to see a high scoring game with Nederland winning it by 2 or 3 scores.
  8. I bet Lumberton has a shoot out with Nederland.
  9. That's no surprise they look good every year until they play newton
  10. I'd say Lumberton has been a surprise. I haven't followed them much, but they seem to be playing very good. WO-S is a surprise to me. I thought they would have a letdown losing Beasley, but obviously have loads of talent who have step up to the plate. HF is a surprise also, when I saw them last year they were pretty sad. Looks like they have improved.
  11. You called him too?
  12. Houston Lamar Livingston Lumberton Silsbee Bridge City Hardin-Jefferson Kirbyville Woodville Anahuac Groveton Deweyville Hull-Daisetta West Hardin High Island Hardin Chester Evadale
  13. Oh ok. Just curious. From listening to your broadcast I didn't get the impression that Jasper was cheating on the clock. Sounded to me like two offenses who couldn't get much going. That is two weeks in a row that Jasper's Defense has held good talented teams pretty much in check for most of the game. I think the offense is giving up more points than the defense at this point.
