7-3 and the playoffs....This is the year for LR

I like to cut and paste saves time...The Raiders record will be 7-3 and the playoffs for the first time.

It is easy to talk smack about Lumberton from the WOS group because you know you don't have to play the Raider's this year...so just keep talking....but Bridge City will find out first hand...wait and see.

The title would be great, however we all know that is far fetched, we are playing for respect, which we will get on the field....so...Lumberton Raider Pride.......This is the Year...hold on Baby.

The worst game I remember was playing Hebert for the last time, the whole Herbert team played like they were POSSESSED the finial was Hebert 28 and Sisbee 7.

I played all these team except Forest Park and SFA, I still have the knot to prove it.

Let me try, French Bufflo's, BCP Cougars, South Park Greenies, Hebert Panters, Forrest Park Trojans, Lincoln Bumble Bees, TJ Yellow Jackets, and SFA Eagles.

High School Football in Texas is better than any other sport in the world, a course that is my opinion. I do miss the the ole days before BMT ISD and PA ISD messed everything up. We had French, BCP, South Park, Hebert, Forrest Park, Lincoln, TJ and SFA We did not need to pull teams from other places to make the district it was all in the front yard. I am glad I had the chance to play some of these great teams.

I have to go with the Silsbee Tigers, all nice and new, a lot better than the old field house we used in the day, howevr I still kinda of miss Kirby Stadium. Tiger forever.

OK, I am very Excited about LR for 2006, second I am a proud Dad. We in Lumberton feel like we are fighting on three fronts, first no respect from all the other teams in the area "and with due cause", second we are fighting with the lack of team support form the Commuity and third the fight within the school commuity. Lumberton is a small 4A team and with no history of winning we are looking forward to the best season every, so you can say as true LR fans we are a little zealous, and defensive :?

I think Vidor will be a team to reckon for 2006, I do not know how 22-4A will play this up coming year, but I do know there are no weak links in it.

For all of you that can't read in Orange County. Let me come to the defense of Gusher and coach Mike. My son is a junior on the LR team. What all the other teams in the area do not understand is that Alivn Credeur has been the coach for these juniors for four years now, as the kids moved up Alvin moved up with them, this is not a rebuilding year this is a coming out year. Coach Credeur has proven his Offense with PNG and Kelly. I played HS football I understand the game and I have never been around a group of kids who love and respect their coach like this group does. I will not make any predictions, but I will tell you this team for 2006 will be no push over. So this means what? You can not look at Lumbeton as the teams of the past, nor can you say that is the kids first year. Yes I would put the team on the field with any other team in the area, 5A teams included, and oh yes WOS. So on November 10, 2006 the end of the regular season all will know.

I know this will make you scatch your head. Let me say PNG 1975 or Beaumont Hebert 1976 and the 1977 Silsbee Tigers were great, they did not win the big one however, I grow with that team as the best we had in tigerland.

Hey coop I think we need a super stadium in SETX, I go every year to the Serior Bowl in Mobile Alabama at Ladd Peebles Stadium, this place is OK but nothing great it hold 40,000 people and has a turf field, but i have never been impressed with the place. The senior bowl is played there and the GMCA bowl as well, plus all the mobile HS use the field. Now as big as HS football is in this area, why can't we build such a place and have some bowl game here and give the local teams a great place to play?

I understand the media will follow a wining team, it is ture for all sports at every level no one cares for second place, the story is who is the winner, and acourse it is all political.
