You still dont get it.....you are correct in that the turf played the same for both teams, but, BH made the adjustments, Ned did not. I have to assume you dont win a tough district by allowing 3 infield singles on routine ground balls. You are also correct in that Ned did not get the hits when they needed them. The whole point of the original post was, if Ned pitches their #1 or #2, BH doesnt put as many balls in play, the Ned infield doesnt have to make the plays it could not make.............And yes, all you Lamar lovers, that turf is SLOW. It is true, but it is slow.
From someone that has played on grass and turf there is no way turf is slower than grass. And it's not a Lamar thing you can find turf at Texas, Texas Tech, Oregon State, Oregon, Louisville, Northwestern State, Wichita State, Sulphur HS.........I could keep going.

Deer Park at West Brook Thursday 7 pm, 1 gamer -
Deweyville just went up 6-0. Lumberton and LC-M were tied at 7 last I heard.
-
Scratch that bad info. Final 23-9 HJ
-
HJ scores with about 20 seconds left to win 16-9.
-
West Hardin beat Hull-Daisetta 28-0. Last I heard HJ and HF were tied at 9 in the 2nd half. Big crowd at the game and only two small scuffles when I was there. An HJ player who is working with the organizers (Alumni Football USA) is the one who told me about the Cowboys Stadium invite.

I don't think it's that bad of an idea. The players for the most part get along and know each other. I've seen H-J and Deweyville. Both teams were in pretty good shape. Most of these guys still play other sports like baseball, softball, etc. Best of luck to all the guys. Also congrats to H-J for being invited to play at Cowboys Stadium next month.

12 conference games left, still time to make the SLC tournament.

FBS Worst College Football Stadium Experiences
Oh, and they through USC at #17 because their 80,000 average fans can't fill a 95,000 seat bowl? The rest is pretty accurate, though
I have friends from PAC 10 schools and others that have worked games there. They all have told me USC is TERRIBLE. I've never been myself. -
lol playing teams that are ranked 275 in the RPI is a RPI killer just plain and simple and playing teams with 175 and etc, played teams that are in the top 100 then gurantee ur RPI goes down 10-15 spots with the record they have right now!!! and if you are a big college baseball guy and know your stuff then you know mid-week games are overated its good to beat those teams but the committee knows that its a mid-week game, FSU won the series against Florida 3-1 this yr all in mid-week games if that was on the weekend its a totally different series win!!
I believe I have a little bit of knowledge when it comes to the NCAA process of selecting teams and also actually making a schedule (which is a lot harder than people think) I have covered multiple regionals in the past decade. Lamar's schedule is much tougher than last year. Going to the Mississippi State tournament was a good despite the poor results. And adding the game with Baylor was good as well since they've lost the traditional game with A&M. Those plus playing Rice twice and UH twice shows the effort being made to play quality teams. LU's record against top 100 teams is hurting them. But for them to make a regional they will need to win the SLC Tournament anyway. -

They've played 15 games against Top 100 teams but are only 7-8 against them including conference series losses to Texas State and SLU (Both top 50 RPI teams). That is actually what hurts when looking at bubble teams not 4 wins against North Dakota State. They've played Rice, UH, Baylor and Mississippi State in non-conference. That's pretty legit, LU is #64 in RPI this week with 5 wins against the top 50.
