I am so proud of the boys and the coaching staff. Newton has a great team this year and I wish them the best in their playoff run. EC would not be able to handle Deweyville's huge front. The Pirates would still be in the playoffs in that district. All this may be fun to talk about, but Deweyville needs to get ready for Elysian Fields in the area round of the playoffs. The Pirates will be to physical for the Yellow Jackets. Pirates 63    Yellow Jackets  31 GO PIRATES!!!! GO EAGLES!!!!! Congrats to the BUCS on their overtime win over Troup!!!!
I think you're mislead about the talent difference in these two districts. Deweyville is good. And should go far. But EC and Newton would both have good sized wins. And there's three or four other teams that could beat them in this district.
;D ;D ;D ;D :o ;D ;D The Pirates would smoke EC this year. Fact EC lost to HJ: Fact HJ barely beat HF: Fact Deweyville rolled HF up in scrimage, yes I know it was a scrimage but it was ugly HF could not even think about stopping them, much less doing it. as far as anyone other than Newton beating them?  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Scrimmages don't count for anything, otherwise you could say that Warren kept up with Deweyville in a scrimmage this year. Besides that, in the bigger district, Woodville beat Kountze, Kountze shut Warren down, then Warren beat Woodville when Woodville was predicted to win by 60 points. As for Deweyville coming to Newton's district, I think you'll find that you can't go by team's past performances (especially in scrimmages) in future games. With that being said Deweyville on their best night doesn't come within 30 of  EC.

That's as close as it will get to actually playing.
Deweyville folks are not used to winning. They dont know how to act right now and are delirious from over emotion. They will be back to earth in a couple of weeks.
89 falcon one of these days somebody is going to let me Know who you are and thats all I am going to say about that. This year Deweyville would have beat the censored out of EC and that is A fact. by god EC lost to HJ and thats all i need to say about that you  bunch of Idiots
Would have beat the "censored" out of EC?? LMAO!! EC by 40 easy!
 3. I think Kountze Defense will be the toughest Newton will face in district, so it's not going to be a blowout. ::) ??? ;D hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
 4.
Thursday night televised game. Who do you think will win it and by how much?
Which station is televising this game? I'd really like to watch!
 5. two of the best teams in that district, but i dont think anybody in that district is gonna beat newton they're looking great this year, alot of speed on both side of the ball, good luck to both teams, Newton 42 Buna 14
 6. Keep your heads up Warriors! You guys will continue to improve.
Yes I know what you were referring to. I stand by my post. All the trash talk between the adult fans of different schools doesn't bother me. Some of it is even funny, but when you (as an adult) know that you are posting to or about a HS student, I think you should dial it down some. Maybe that's just me though.
DPFan is NOT an adult, chill out and breathe, goodness.
Ya know, I kind of figured that out around the time that his/her response to a poster was: "you are DUMB"

The "kids" play the games. No "kid" who gets out there in that heat and practices twice a day is a joke. They work their hearts out trying to win games for their school. No matter what school that may be, they all deserve credit for the hard work that they put in.
 10. UMMM the headline on this is wrong. (wish it weren't)
 11.
May not be a good sign for the Rebels.Warren is still pretty young across the board. The young coach seems to have the FOOTBALL program heading in the right direction but there are some really solid clubs in that district. I just wish the basketball program hadn't been completely abandonded.
Warren is a young team but has a lot of varsity experience in Perfect, Gray, Murray, and Lambright.... Coach Kevin Barbay has done well by all the athletic programs in Warren, baseball made the playoffs, tennis did really well and BASKETBALL won more district games last year than they had in a long time. Coach Barbay is a football guy by all means but he HAS NOT abandoned ANY program at Warren, he is a big help at turning the Warriors around.
 12. Prayers from Warren that this young man makes a full recovery.
 13.

Woodville has won the last 31 in a row. Doesnt look like its changing any time soon. But the rivalry is obviously still there when you watch these two teams compete. How does the rivalry withstand the beatings Warren takes year after year from Woodville?? is it deeper than just football?? Is it simply that the two towns are close to each other??
Need to check the record.  I know Warren beat Woodville in the mid-80's cause I was in school then.
I think (could be wrong) that the last time the Warriors beat Woodville was in '87. That means that 31 in a row is not possible. There were times in the 90s and 2000s that Warren and Woodville did not even play each other. Like I said, I could be wrong.
 14. The young man was on The Early Show a couple of days ago. I do not understand the outcries against him branding him sexist. He explained his reasons. He said he was taught from an early age not to be aggressive toward females (a good thing). He also explained that wrestling holds sometimes put you in some compromising positions. I don't think that he should be condemned for this. I understand that she worked hard to get there, but I also understand his position on the subject.
