  1. You are right. It would be the shocker of the year. But don't count a hungry dog out. It's a different Coldspring team this year, and a much different WOS team. Good luck to both teams!
  2. I love it when everyone gets on the "WOS by a lot" bandwagon. I mean, Coldspring is really horrible. Their QB is as slow as they come..... #9 is a coward (just ask SHSU31)..... #50 is the worst linebacker in the state of Texas..... and their offensive line couldn't block a daisy in a windstorm..... But, I'm sure the Trojan supporters like to see a team like WOS overlook them. WOS should just go ahead and start gameplanning for Caldwell. There's no since in even bringing the studs.... this one is in the bag for the mighty 'Stangs!!!!!
  3. The more that people get on here and project WOS playing in the state championship game, the better the chances of everyone that plays them in the early rounds. Go ahead and overlook Coldspring. Could be the shocker of the 3A playoffs this year!!!!
  4. LIVIN IN THE PAST !!!!! Coldspring is a different ball club this year, faster and stronger. What does Cleveland have that Coldspring doesnt ? NOT ONE THING. We run faster, block better, hit harder and were more desciplined. If you put all of those things together it equals a win for the TROJANS. You havent faced an offense or defense as good as the one we will throw at you Friday. You havent faced a running back as good as BIG #9. We will pound the ball all night, you cant stop us and you wont stop us. do you still believe this...if so hahahahaha yall were not bigger, faster or stronger.what do we have that coldspring doesnt???? its called class...big number 9 ran like a coward all night...then after the game was over he stood on the sideline crying like a little classless girl and wouldnt shake the hands of the indians..so we can stop you and we did...time you lto talk yourself in to beating WOS and the out come will be the same...wos will win big..... SHSU31 Class? You're saying that Cleveland had something that Coldspring didn't have and that is class. Then you proceed to called high school kids names! Not real sure where the class in that is. But that's just me. I mean who's the adult here? What doesn't show class is for an adult (who is also a coach) to get on here and call kids names after stating that they have class, but their opposition doesn't. Nice call...great representation of Cleveland.
  5. Liberty definitely has some athletes. Where is #7 for Liberty. I noticed him running the ball in some of the early games, now I don't see him.
  6. We can pull up whatever numbers we want as far as strength of schedule goes, but the bottom line is this..... who would you rather play in the pre-district???? Bryan Rudder, Huntington, and New Caney (Cleveland's opponents) or Crockett, Madisonville, and Diboll (Coldspring's opponents) Coldspring has played teams equal to and better than Cleveland. And, fared well, or won against them all. Cleveland is no-where the caliber of a team that Diboll is. And yes, Coldspring did lose that game 40-36. Cleveland has not played anyone even close to Coldspring's talent level. The only contest Cleveland had was Huffman.... in which the score was 21-11. Thats the same Huffman team that Coldspring beat 30-14 (and Huffman was very lucky that they were not embarrassed in that game). We can sit and say Cleveland's better; or Coldspring's better. But, it will all be decided tonight. And hopefully it will be decided by a good game in which both teams play to the best of their ability, the coaches coach a good game, and the officials call a good game. That way there won't be anyone on here tomorrow saying "well, cleveland should have won if it weren't for fumbles.... or the officials...." and vice-versa if Coldspring loses. I know that both teams are very good teams and both have a shot of making it past the first round regardless of who their first round opponent is. Good luck to both.
  7. I would hope that you do put money on Cleveland holding the Trojans to 14 points TLU_DAWG. That seems like a bet I'd be willing to get in on. I don't see anyone holding the Trojans to 14 points now that they are rolling, even though Cleveland is the best they've been in 10 years. Because they haven't been very good at all in the past 10 years. I think both teams are descent this year. Neither one are world-beaters. I mean, Coldspring has played some tough teams and lost a couple of close games. Cleveland has won them all!!!! But, in saying that, the only other team they could've scheduled that was weaker than their pre-district opponents would have been the Houston Charter for the Deaf, Blind, and Amputated Midget Academy. But, I give them credit in their scheduling. Confidence can take you a long way in football. And they definitely have the confidence now that they lacked in the past few years. The staff over there has done a good job. So, I'm not downing anyone. Please don't take it that way. Both teams have athletes, there's no doubt. It very well could come down to mistakes, and who makes the other team pay for those mistakes. I don't see either team blowing the other one out. I wish them both the best of luck. I'm sure the kids will come to play hard that night, and the district champion will prevail out of that game.
  8. They seem to be doing good. They have athletes there, that's for sure. But they haven't been battle tested yet. They're only test was Huffman, which gave them a close game. I don't know if they can stay on the field with Coldspring. Seems that Coldspring has played some really tough teams early on, and now are just running over the district like IKE ran through Crystal Beach. Should be a good game, where mistakes and penalties will be costly in the end, but I see Cleveland having to take the passenger seat this season.
  9. Coach Peveto was the coach in '92 when Coldspring played for the state championship and lost... so they never 'won' state. So, I don't know where you're looking stuff up from, but your information is wrong. In '96, Coldspring was knocked off by Sealy in the Astrodome. Coach Moynahan was the coach that year.
  10. It really doesn't matter what they're giving up if they're getting the job done. I mean, the goal is to get one in the 'win' column. And as long as that's happening, it doesn't matter how it's getting done. As long as you score more than the other team in the end, it's still a win......
  11. Crockett continues to go downhill.... but how is Diboll considered a "so-so" team? They just beat Nacogdoches pretty easily.
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Coldspring beat Huffman 30-14?????? In my calculations, and granted I'm not good at math, if Huffman beat Splendora (and beat them pretty handily), and Splendora beat Liberty (in a close game), then Cleveland turns around and just beats the dog tar out of Liberty, wouldn't that mean that Cleveland and Coldspring would be the top 2 teams in the district??? Seems to me that the Cleveland/Coldspring game will be the district championship game. So, it seems rather strange to me that Cleveland/Huffman should be game of the week... hahaha
