1. Those are very nice facilities, but 2 of the 3 don't belong to Angelo State.  The football stadium is the San Angelo ISD stadium.  In the past, it merely had "SAN ANGELO" in the endzones, but it's currently being remodeled, and hearsay is that the new field will have the high school's name and colors at midfield and in the end zones. The baseball stadium belongs to the local independent league pro team.  I think they lease the land it's on from the university.  Think I read on a thread on the LSC board that while ASU plays there they have to change, etc., on campus because they don't have access to the locker rooms. Could be wrong about that part though. The Junell center basketball arena is theirs, and seems to be a really nice 5000 seat arena. Now that Abilene Christian is going to be an SLC member they'd make good travel partners. There is a thread on the LSC board on D2Football.com about ASU's future facilities: ]
 2.
Heck, schedule ULL, Rice, Houston, somebody of that caliber.
I think many people missed the point because the article isn't well written.  Every FBS conference in the country (including the Sunbelt) has a rule which prohibits any of its members from scheduling a football game as an FCS home game.  No matter what Woodard would like to do, and no matter how much we would pay, neither UL-L, UL-M, Rice, or any other FBS program can schedule football games at FCS schools. It isn't allowed. You play them at their place or you don't play them at all. Period.
