I think King has a real shot at a State Championship appearance this season.

Nederland will beat them senseless just like PNG did. The district is pathetically weak outside of PNG and Nederland. Whoever finishes as the 3rd and 4th place teams will be embarrassed in Bi-District and they know it.

Huge improvement? I saw where PNG led that game 55 - 6 with starters... how much better are you looking for?? lol

Just like Shea Adams was used a few years ago? Does Ashworth have the same skills?

Looks like Coach Joseph took his foot off the gas in the second half after the 98-yard kick off return. I dont blame him. No use in losing a starter or two in a meaningless game against a terrible team.

Did Texas City's varsity make the trip to Port Neches? Lmao!

Looks like NDN Press finally said screw it. YouTube it is. The NFHS network sucks.

That's the truth. I think both of the Region 3 teams this weekend can easily handle CC Miller or Boerne in the Semifinal game.

I looked on the NRG site and I see 2 games @ 2pm and 6pm on Saturday, but nothing for Friday night. Is the issue NRG officials do not want to schedule anything for Friday?

I'm out of emojis for the day, but LOL! That was good!

SFA?? He is too good/fast not to get some serious D1 interest

Out of likes for the day (wish we had more), but I am in agreement with you. Joseph and his staff have worked some wonders with that program.

It was his first TD pass on varsity. He played the QB position prior to moving up.

That is a mystery for sure. During the regular season, bands sometimes dont show up due to them being at a UIL marching contest. This was not the case last night. First time I have ever seen this happen during a playoff game with nice weather. Anyone have any inside scoop?

It might have had a little nutra mixed in LOL

I agree! The passing game has been their bread and butter, and PNG'S secondary has struggled throughout the season. Instead, they kept handing it off to the Oregon commit and PNG's front 7 is their strength. Sending in big Jackson Christian on the FG attempt was great call by the OC.

LaPorte has been kicking butt since the loss to PNG. They even beat Angleton! Good job Dawgs! Good luck vs AMC

Fly Eagles Fly! All the way to State! That RB y'all have is D1 for sure

Maybe somewhere in Louisiana if TH wins the flip. Probably SFA or Lufkin if PNG wins the flip.

Ha! I agree with that! Can't imagine this PNG secondary trying to cover pass happy Texas High. Way too much speed for them. I have Texas High and Richmond Randle playing in Jerry World in a few weeks.

No doubt. McCrary was a master of evaluating each player's strengths & weaknesses and then game planned around them. Fellers was a master of running the game plan, which he is still doing this year at Duncanville. Whoever replaced them are JV caliber play callers at best.

Ahhhh ok. Whoever replaced them needs to step up. Offense is way too vanilla.

I just watched a few clips on YouTube (that seemed to be all there was to watch for some reason), but PNG's secondary this year is not as quick as last year and try to arm tackle. The front 4 and the 2 inside LB's are tough as nails! But once you get around them... #4 is a hoss!

PNG seemed to have better offensive minded coaches the past couple of seasons. Not sure what happened to them, but this year not so much.
