OK Let me say this first I know people going to say how stupid I am but I can accept that for I'm just I dumb country boy. So let's start with the 2a district most coaches(not all) uses this classification as a stepping stone for better jobs with bigger salaries, so what will change there. Now lets talk about the 2a district with Newton and Kirbyville in it. Most teams dread getting in the playoffs and having to play Newton or Kirbyville the first round I've heard it from fans where I live. And every year what games do we look forward to in 2a in this area Newton and Kirbyville. Why? because they play dogs all year in their district and most of the time sit out their starters the second half of every game. Now on the other district Buna,EC, Hardin, and Anahuac beats each other up every week so by the time the playoffs start they are hit with injuries and back-ups that have rarely seen the field and usually get killed in the playoffs by quess who Newton and Kirbyville. So put all these teams in the same district quess what Newton and Kirbyville can't just plan for for each other they have to plan for each game each week all year long. And I think any team that makes the playoffs  from this district will be well prepare for the playoffs. Also we will find out who's the real coaches and who's the pretenders. As far as getting coaches to come to these towns Imo would be easier for if they can win in this 2a district then they could win in any district in the state. It would look great on a resume. Also think of the exposure our players would get from being in the toughest district in the state. Like I said when I started this some people will say I'm stupid but that's OK I can deal with that.

Well i was wondering if anyone was going to mention Newton. Well I have to say if you look at Hooks Teams and Barbay Teams I would say that they are pretty even. Lets face it how many 4 or 5 a teams really wants to play either one of these teams. Answer very few !!!!!!!!!!!!!! But how many 4 or 5 A teams would these two teams play Answer ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND probably beat most of them.

I would like HOOKS are BARBAY ( from newton) Neither one of them cares about your name or what people thinks about them they just turn out players with hard work and dedication. I would also like to see ELMORE from Bridge City from a few years ago The man is a Beast and very christian. Also a great motivator

I don't know about Buna going far....Shelbyville with Estes on the mound is tough!!!!!! He brings it mid to high 80's, hard slider, 12-6 curve, split finger, change up, and knucke ball. But all of those pitches is not the tough thing about him to hit,....ALL OF THOSE PITCHES ARE FROM DIFFERENT ARM ANGLES!!!!!! fastball (high, 3/4 and low) slider (ect.),.......tough to pick up Now they have to play a 1 game next week, should be a good game (Clark vs Estes) have see their bats many times this year and believe me...they are not that good....Any Pitching and they can't put the bat on the ball. It will be a defenseive game!!! Hey hit man who did you play for to say that buna's bats are not good I don't know of any team in our district to throw a no hitter against us. I agree Estes is a good pitcher but not being able to hit him I don't know about that. But thank you now we realize that we can't hit estes so that mean we can't win so that means no pressure on us against a team that is far superior than us.I,m glad we didn't listen to how good Central Hieght pitcher was last year and couldn't be hit or we might of not made it so far. you got one thing right!!!! I am up set about kirbyville not making playoffs!!! But that is not the reason I said what I said. Just look at past games where Buna had to face a little pitching. 0 runs off Bridgecity, 1 runs of HF, 4 run off the ace from East Chambers, 0 runs off Kirbyville (1 hitter) Monday night you will see a better pitcher than Hazlewood. Throws harder and has more pitches from different angles. He has held many teams to 0 runs. I know Buna could beat them in 3 games, they do have the better team, but it will be a close in one game agaist Estes. I am rooting for you now my team is out, just don't think this will be a easy game for Buna like I'm reading, especially since you have played one game in almost a month. good luck to ya'll!!! Hey hitman you are right we didn't do well at the start of the season and we had a hick-up against ec but maybe that was a reality check. Look at what our bats had done since that game and your'e right one game series the best team don't always win. The sad part that's all the game we have got to play and for shelbyville and buna the one that lose might always wonder what would of happen in a three game series. So don't base it on the past for ya'll started out like no one could touch ya'll and hit a slump at the wrong time or it might be us and ya'll. Hopefully for my coogs we hit our slump early and beginning to jell at the right time like we did last year but again that was last year we got to play every game like there's no tomorrow. and thanks for the support

I guess you right javelina anyway it should be a great game monday night and everyone knows that getting to austin back to back is very hard to do. But i think Buna has the young men to do that. Yea i know ill hear it lol here we go.. they beat y'all Kirbyville deserves to be #1 and until y'all beat them they will stay at #1 Thank you 123456 you made our point for us. I always thought that if you beat Buna it made your team season and you just confirmed that. For my understanding of what you are saying that K-ville could lose the rest of their game and they will still be #1. So if Buna and let's say Evadale go on and win state ( let's just say) then because they couldn't play K-Ville again then k-ville would be number 1. So all of us Buna fans and Evadale fans if you win state be sure to tell UIL to put K-Ville name on the trophy. I thought a top ten should be rank by how teams are playing now not what happen in the past. just my opion.that's why I don't put much in polls that are put up by people that apparent ha a dog in the fight. If anyone wants to see Chase Tucker pitch I heard he was going to be pitching this May in Beaumont in the 25 and up league. if he still got his curve ball I tell you his worth seeing.

90 first get your facts straight yes B.C. did beat us 2nd we was ahead of Vidor 3-0 when it was called for rain 3rd we didn't play Jasper. FACTS Now personally I think it's great that Buna,Kirbyville,Jasper, and Evadale is being mention as some of y'all are saying as some of the best teams in the state that says alot for Jasper county baseball, and I for one don't know another county that might have state contender in the 1a,2a, and 3a ranks. I will pull for my cougars to repeat a trip to Austin but I will pull for all Jasper county teams to do well in their state playoff journey and think it would be great if Buna and Kirbyville could play for the right to go to state. That would make a statement for Jasper county. 1 win does not get you out of a slump especially against East Chambers.. As for "Buna would, could and can beat Kirbyville," they might, could, but didn't beat Kirbyville...... As for clark or hillen, please throw them at us. we useally hit better against fast pitchers!!!!! But honestly these could be the two best teams is 2A.
