1. I don't know who is going to win, but I hope the schools agree to keep the ticket prices to $3 or less.  To charge more than that to see a 19-15 game is a crime. Snooze........ Evadale by 20....hahahahahaha  ;) Evadale by 2
2. Good for the Warren coach to hold kids accountable.  I have never, in my many years of life, known a coach just to randomly suspend athletes in order to lose.  The coaching staff must have had grounds for such an act, and kudos to them for standing firm.
3. On the KISD website, the girls basketball schedule has Head Coach: Lola Baker and Assistant Coach: Nicole Allen. It also has Evadale grossly misspelled.  LOL
4. I guess we will see - she got hired somehow.  It wasn't because her previous employers said she is a bad coach.
5. In fairness to Ms. Allen, I don't think Geno Auriemma would have had a decent record in High Island.
6. Well, it did save the school district a lot of money.  ;)
7.
Coach girls basketball last six years one and done in playoffs this year.  Big time credentials for HF, look for great things.  May struggle with UOS but that is why the hired Price, to fix all programs and Decello looks like the man for the job
Regional finals two years ago.  I think he will do just fine in H-F.
8.
No they want. I watched them on Tv the Championship game. They are nothing special. They can and will be beat.
Nothing special?  Wow - I didn't realize 12 state tournament berths since '91 was ordinary.  Playing in the state final is special.  They may not win Region III next year, but it won't be because "they are nothing special."
9. It's a fact, Mr. Parker -  not a hobby.  The athletic director at said town and his family even helped them move in to their new rental home.  Found out the Jacks had moved out a couple of weeks later from a third party.  Kind of like the Colts out of Baltimore.  Good luck, Vidor ISD.
10. Mr. Jacks is the one that took one job in East Texas last year, moved to that town, then left without telling anyone to take another job across the state.  Good luck, Vidor!!
11. Hoops, Quite an amazing district you were in this year.  3 of the best teams in the state in your classification and 4 of the worst, if not THE worst, except for maybe the one named after an urban greeting.
12. Hemphill has just as good of a chance as anyone now.  It is wide open.
13. Thorndale by 10.  Too much tradition and poise.  I would like to wish Coach Hollyfield and the Lady Rebels good luck.  Please prove my prediction false!
14. I am sure Coach Sanders is glad to be out of Caldwell!!  What a dump!  Congrats on a fine season at Silsbee.
15. To think that the coach should bench the kids who have played their way to 2 state tournaments and a 30-0 record up to tonight is ridiculous.  Go with your horses and let the chips fall.  It was not Woodville's night - congrats to Hardin.
16. Caldwell coach did not finish the season over there this year. Left in December. I hope Silsbee was informed of this..... Hoops is correct - Pat Summit couldn't win district at Caldwell.
17. Woodville will be the heavy favorite in region 3. But there are at least three teams in region 2 who are 20 points or more better than anyone in region 3 or 4. Brock, Peaster, and Winnsboro are just better. Very good chance we will get to cheer for Woodville in Austin, though.
18. Griner is much more than one dunk. She has a good feel for the game, good hands, and a nice touch. Very good passer as well. She also supported her teammates when they messed up.
19. Do you still want everyone to remember you said this??
20. LCM and moral victories - funny!! Good job getting off the 666.....don't want that hanging over your post count.
21. I don't have a dog in this fight, but I can say that if Salado can beat Hempstead and Weimar, they can beat Woodville. Don't know who will win, but I wouldn't guarantee anything either.
22. My point is, esp with boys, you never know. A lot of late bloomers sprout as 9th and 10th graders.
23. Let me guess - new "Athletic Director" came in and tried to clean house soi he could bring in his own people. How close am I?
24. My little brother was on the 7th grade B team, then Sophomore of the Year in a 4A district, then scored over 2,000 points in college. I wonder what his rating was at 13 years old?
