1. Bottom line is that in a fight anyone can win. Machida lost to a good fighter and will come back to win some more and I feel will be a force again. GSP will beat Kos, maybe the same way he beat Hardy but then again Hardy was not as good a wrestler as Kos is. The good thing about GSP is he does what needs to be done to get the win. If it take striking then he will out strike you. If it takes wrestling then he will double leg you and ground and pound away at you or submit you if possible. Not to mention that GSP just seems like a good dude, you know. I personally like him a lot, I actually think that from the footage we get to see he seems like he is a very professional fighter in his approach to the game and how serious he takes it while still having a good time. Seems very grounded to me. Kimbo also seems like a great guy but was a flash in the pan and Dan was right for cutting him. He is too old to learn enough to be a contender in the 205 class and he is too light to make any headway in the HW class.
2. Bottom line is that it does not matter if he was bored, the dude came off like a tool. He should have ended it in the 2-3 round. Thought the Edgar win was questionable but that is what happens when the judges decide and Hughes looked pretty good. But by far the better fights were the undercard.
3. Agree with venom on this one. Too many chiefs, I don't think he is afraid of UFC competition but it sure is starting to look like it with all these contract disputes that seem to follow him.
4. ::) ::) ::) My wife never curses, like ever. I have maybe heard like 20 words in the 15 years we have been married and she almost wanted to go to the manager and cuss him out when our daughter got those oranges. it would not have been that bad if the waiter had not acted like we were the ones doing something wrong.
5. I won't eat at the Chili's in Liberty ever again. The service sucks, on three seperate occassions we have been served food that was either cold, not cooked all the way through and in one case they gave my daughter a bowl full of rancid oranges. I know what made us go back, we were with other people who had not had problems before so we thought each time "maybe it has been fixed". Not once did their manager ever come and apologize or even off to comp a meal or anything. We finally complained on the website and got vouchers but we never used them there. We go to the one in either Baytown or Atascacita. Jax is great. Casa Don Boni is very good also. Mas Amigos is not very good IMO. Los Compadres in Dayton is good as is Jose's, Quizno's in Liberty is also good if you want fast food other than Jack in the Box, McD's or BK, Taco Bell, Whataburger, Sonic or DQ in either Dayton or Liberty.
6. No i won't watch his fight, the only reason why I saw his last one was because it was a highlight on an HD.Net program I was watching. I will watch the other fights but not that one. I think that stuff like that just lowers the acceptance of the sport, making it into a spectacle instead of a legit event.
7.
This is why strikeforce will never make it, stupid fights like this.
Amen to that one brother. Seriously Canseco, what a joke.
8. Should be a great couple of months for the UFC.
9. Can I get an amen on that last statement? Seriously, I know of kids who are getting hounded at AAU games in the 5th and 6th grades about where they are going to end up in high school.
10. Pot stirrer!!!!! But I for one would love to see that fight take place. Maia could be a good choice but he will get beat down quickly. I don't think Sonnen or Nate have very much of a shot against The Spider.
11. btw, thanks for the information about channelsurfing.net because after I got home I watched the fights for free, but they were in Spanish, but who cares. I did not have to pay 4 bucks for a so so card. The undercard bouts were better fights. I wish Nate would have been able to do something but Chael controlled him the entire fight. I am a huge fan of Marquardt but I don't want to hear him make statements like he did after the fight still claiming to be the better fighter. Fights can be standing or on the ground in MMA and he definitely got shown a huge glaring weakness in his game. Silva is a pretty good ground guy as well so even if nate stepped up his striking due to that being what Andersen took him to town on he is still not close to being on the Spider's level. Neither is Sonnen.
12. If you mean 600 dollars then that is a total douche move on either him or the organization.
13. I was sick all weekend and headed back home soon today, when and what channel was the fight on?
14. Sweet, looks like Mir/Lesnar III on the horizon if he gets past Carwin.
