Negative. Went thru WOS from 1st to 12th grade, supported them then and supported them the 41 years since I graduated. But there’s something about these teams now that don’t strike the fear and respect into other school like they used too. I can say I’ve heard that from first hand knowledge from contacts with many area schools. Wos is just “another” game on the schedule to them now. Whatever you call it, Mustang Magic, Mojo or what other “it” is these last 4 teams haven’t had it. again if someone’s not a long time Mustang they won’t get it

I’m glad they won the DC but as stated above that’s just the basics here. Very happy for the kids that’s been putting forth the effort. But somehow something still seems off. They may be winning but not in the Mustang fashion we’ve been used to the last 40 years. Speaking to folks associated with various schools across the triangle, they don’t have the fear or respect for WO-S that they used too. When they see u on the schedule they don’t automatically think well that’s a loss that week anymore . But having said all that, Go Mustangs! Congrats on the district championship.

1st qtr was all HF. Mustangs only ran what 6-7 offensive plays and something like 3-4 penalties on those

I’ve read this week that a forfeiture wasn’t ever a real possibility so if that true I’m left wondering why BC took it to this to this level? I completely understand the ethics issue and totally support that, but if the BC folks knew getting the game results overturned was not going to happen then it makes them look like they just had it out to shed negative publicity on LCM and to discredit Coach Gonzales and Peevey. LCM definitely didn’t handle this the right way, but if that’s all BC wanted to do then that’s wrong as well and two wrongs don’t make one right. But I don’t have a dog in this fight it’s just my simple observation.

Anyone know why WO-S cancelled the JV game with HF?

Without digging up the past too much what happened with Gonzales and the incident with Ozen in 09? Just to refresh our memories

How did LC-M find this watch? Did a BC player lose it off his wrist but never knew it until almost halftime?

No problem. whats crazy is that since 2022 LC-M has a slight better record that WO-S. LC-M is 25-16 WO-S is 24-18 i can honestly say that that’s never happened before in any other 3 1/2 season span. Like the old Bob Dylan song “The Times They Are A-Changin”

Is that just his record for district games? I know all the info on maxpreps isn’t always correct but according to their records he’s 36-19. This is LC-M’s records since 2021 according to them: 11-3, 6-5, 6-5, 8-3 and 5-3 so far this year .

I’ll go with WO-S and 26-24 although it could very, very easily be the other way around

Not looking ahead, but if WO-S beats Silsbee but looses to HF, how will the playoff seedings be? Each of these three teams would have one district loss to each other. Silsbee beat HF, WO-S beat Silsbee and HF would have beaten WO-S.

First time I’ve heard someone say WO-S coaching is superior in about 3 1/2 years

This makes the 18th loss for WO-S in the last 3 1/2 seasons. More than any other 3 1/2 year span in the schools 48 year history.
