  1. Any word on the starting quarterbacks injury and how that will play out Friday night?
  2. Vidor goes down big in this one. They are on a high from whooping up on WOS in a scrimmage. I think they go in over confident and get blown out of the water by the passing game.
  3. Along with the running backs taking some pressure off Roschon, I'm curious to see if the WR for PNG can create separation against a physically fast silsbee team.
  4. You expect them to win just because they're WOS. An the young guys probably do to. Yall will find out yall are not grandfathered in to winning. Again.... I think they will have a good playoff run, but I don't think they will win state and I don't think things will come together for the young team until a couple of weeks in to the season.
  5. Nederland will come in ready to prove something on the road. Hopefully it's not to wet Friday night so we can see the Dogs air it out on a young undisciplined mustang team. I think WOS will make a deep run in the playoffs but that's after they get the kinks worked out and a bit more experience for the younger guys.
  6. I don't know how aggressive the 6'4 guy is but I know Nichols will stop at nothing to put his helmet on that ball carrier. Do they have Them playing Nose or end
  7. I know that I've seen the Nichols kid light some boys up. That guy is a head hunter and has a nose for the football. They should have had him on D his whole high school career. I hope he still has that Defensive mentality. Him, paired up with a 6'4 haus should be fun to watch people try to run up the middle. I look for those two guys to have a big year terrorizing the opposing offenses. Qb's beware.
  8. I don't see it going either way. Legacy will lose big. You would think legacy would go recruit kids to improve their athletic program. There's just not a lot there to gain interest from the athletes of SETX.
  9. Johnson is going to show them why he is a UT commit. It's going to be a blowout in PNGs favor. Bet on it.
  10. A hard running quarterback is great. As long as he can throw down field to. He should be playing line backer or running back if he's got that headstrong football mentality. I agree he is an athlete. I just think that the back up at Nederland would produce more as well as add another phase for their offense.
  11. The back up looked like a better passing QB. I think the task is huge to play against WOS for your first game as a starter. But if Nederland plays the better passer, and along with the talent they have at RB I would say Nederland by 2 scores. If the starting QB comes back and plays then WOS only has to defend screens and really short routes. If that's the case then I say it'll come down to the fourth quarter and the winning team will win by one score.
  12. I think Vidor just had an offense that WOS wasn't used to seeing. WOS should be fine to make some noise in the playoffs. When your NFL teams lose preseason games you don't think anything of it cause it's preseason. Well so are scrimmages in high school. They will come out adjusted and ready to go.
  13. They will be good this year and I'm sorry to see their QB go down, but the back up has a much better arm and a pocket presence that looks like he's a starter. In my opinion they would benefit more with the back up taking the starting spot and the starter now moving positions, cause he is an athlete for sure. But With the back up on the side line, it's a waste of a player that could add another level to your offense. Poor player management by the coaches.
