Clark, Craft, and Sheppard should be big playmakers in the secondary for buna.

Correct.. i do think anuahac will be much improved but i wouldn't put them at the top of the leaderboard. I think it will be the same 3 teams from last year at the top. Random order... I have a feeling Kountze is going to be overrated and the 4th place team. idk why just a feeling. 1.EC 2.Buna 3.Hardin 4.Kountze 5.Anuahac 6.Deweville 7.Warren

Look for the Buna cougars to have alot better year than people are projecting them.

Buna has some good athletes coming back along with some good newcomers. Wouldnt overlook them.

Why do you think orangefield will beat the buna cougars.... much less by 21?

I dont recall the warren warriors having a kid that ran under a 4.7.... Dave Cambells mag says 4.4.... haha plz i dont think anyone in our district has a 4.4 much less the warren warriors...

Buna's secondary will be lock down!!! If up front can do they on thang then defense will be tough to score on. FS and both CB were all district.

I know they played teams like silsbee, hardin jefferson, orangefield, vidor, mauriceville, bridge city, lumberton.

So i wouldn't count buna out just because we lost our front 5. The program is building and kids will step up and fill shoes. The Buna Cougars will not disappoint!

Buna will have a very inexperienced line but do have an upcoming sophomore, a little brother to the DT Dillon moss that graduated this year, that benches over 350 and squats over 550... i would say 6ft. 1in. 270 lbs. Has potential to be very good.

seems like everyone cept for east chambers thinks kountze will win it. live up to the hype. the way i see it there are really no district favorites this year. good luck to all teams in 23-aa!!!

If so. . . . what did you think of them? Should be the upcoming senior class if i remember correctly. I believe Charlie Verrett was the coach.

In conclusion, My predictions are 1. Hardin 2.Anahuac 3.Buna 4.Kountze 5.East Chambers 6.Deweville 7.Warren

Buna's Secondary will be very strong next year losing only the SS... Middle of the defense will have their work cut out trying to stop the run as they are very young and inexperienced. With that said, the six or seven starters returnin, defense should be pretty decent for 23-aa. Size will be one of the weaknesses this year, losing almost all our big guys. Can't wait til football starts up again!!!
