  1. Very nice. Looks like you guys are are starting off on the right foot. I am sure this organization will be very successful with the group that is running it. Good luck to you guys.
  2. Congrats guys. Great Job!!! Oh and great job on the updates.
  3. easy guys, i'm getting them by text and i'm at work. i have delayed a heart surgery for 2 hours . Oh, I am not griping. You are doing a great job. Are you serious about delaying a heart surgery?? Dog4Life, get back to work.
  4. I guess I should rephrase. In my experiences there is a lot less BS in Select. ;D
  5. I see where you are comming from with the "community pride" in all stars. It's just different at OYBS (several school districts are involved...and I am not saying that it's a bad thing but it is different).
  6. People get the misconception that select has to be year around (We play January-July). We played select and league last year and it was too much for my son (he is 9). This year he wanted to go select only. We have 1 sometimes 2 practices a week and 2 tournaments every month. We have played a total of 42 games (that's about 126 at bats). That is almost 4 times as many games and at bats as a league player. You also get to play on nicer fields against better competition. And the kids really love the travel. This is not to mention that you don't have to put up with all of the BS that goes on in league. If you wait until your kid is 12 he may have alot of catching up to do.
  7. Dang, I missed it by 2. Great series Horns. I had a feeling we would chase Green early...was nervous when they brought Workman in...Woods hasn't been the same since he threw 170 in the BC game. Ya'll should have started Jungmann. What was his pitch count in game 2? To my calculations he still had about 60 left for last night.
  8. I won't talk smack either (kinda bit me in the a__ last week)...but since we did win game 1 it gave us "control" (and I use that word loosley) of the series. We were able to match up Ross (our #3) with Jungmann (obviously your #1) and now we have Renaudo against Green on 4 days rest instead of having to throw him last night.
  9. Gone: Mitchell Schimpf DJ Probably Gone: Dean Lineup for next year: C-Micah Gibbs (Jr) 1B/DH-Kyle Keneoman (Jr) 50 HR's in JUCO 2B-Tyler Hanover (So) SS-Ausin Nola (So) 3B-Beau Didier/Wet Delatte (RFr) LF-Leon Landry (Jr) CF-Mikie Mahtook (So) RF-Johnny Dishon (RSo) DH/1st-Blake Dean (Sr) His team Fri-Anthony Ranaudo (Jr) Sat-Austin Ross (Jr) Sun-Chris Matulis (So) Week-Mitchell Mormann (Jr) Bullpen-Daniel Bradshaw (Jr) Bullpen-Zach VonRosenberg (Fr) Bullpen-Randy Zeigler (RFr) Bullpen-Shane Reidie (So) Closer-Matty Ott (So)
  10. Congrats Horns. Jungmann has a bright future. I knew the kid was good but I was hoping he was rattled from his game 1 performance (6 straight balls)...but he came through. I also thought the Horns were much classier tonight...although, Moldenhouer is still comming out for curtain calls early in the game on solo shots ??? ??? Should be a different game tonight. I sure am glad we didn't start Renaudo last night... My prediction LSU 9 - Horns 4
  11. Most people are still asleep at 5:00 am. Geez... Jungmann was just filthy. LSU had nothing for him. We looked lost at the plate tonight and that is due to a true freshman with great stuff. Hopefully we can get to Green tonight. With Renaudo going I feel better. On a side note, I thought Nolan Cain and Daniel Bradshaw were outstanding in relief. Byrd was throwing BP...not sure what Manieri was thinking when he brought him in...he said just a change of pace but... ??? Congrats Horns.
  12. He looked like a balarina prancing down third base line. And if we do win it...it will actually be #6...but we'll take it. Oh, and JoesBro...do you really think that belt "broke"??? I have heard of stalling but come on...that was bush league.
  13. Also, who does a curtain call in the 3rd when no one is asking for it??? And after a solo shot ???
  14. This comment cheapens the whole game. It had nothing to do with DJ LeMahieu and Mikie Mahtook comming through in the clutch ??? It had nothing to do with Matty Ott closing out the final 3 innings ??? I thought Texas played a great game. They are absolutly a better hitting team than I gave them credit for. Tough loss. Good luck tonight...but they did not give the game away. We do still agree on somethings! ;D The game could have gone either way. The team that won got the clutch hits. Give them their props, just like we would want them if Texas would have been able to pull it off. If we don't hang a 1-2 curve ball over the middle of the plate when Mahtook wasn't catching up with the fastball then maybe just maybe we are still playing. We did not give the game away LSU took the game. Who would have thought
  15. I bet Mikie Mahtook will disagree with you. ;D

  17. I hope you have practice tonight..I will be texting you giving you updates and ruin your DVR... Don't worry you won't be the only one. I will not have my phone with me.
  18. HAHA. My last predictions were in haste. We live in Longhorn territory and I was/am sick of hearing about how good Texas is. Now the stage is set. Good luck.
  19. That;s because he doesn't cover the bunt well. ;D Thats funny. Helenihi will start. I would just like to see Hanover get a couple of at bats. Kid can rake. this is LSU's post season pitching stats: PITCHER ERA W-L__ I P__SO BB ER_ BAA__ K/9 Coleman 1.74...4-0...30.2..27...3....6..0.239...7.84 Ranaudo 1.90...4-0...33.1..37..11...7..0.178..10.06 Ross .....5.33...1-1...15.2..18...6....9..0.344..10.66 Ott .........6.00...0-0....6.0....7....1....4...0.250...10.50 Bradshaw1.76...1-0...10.2....6....2....2...0.205....5.29 Byrd .......2.25...1-0.....8......3....1....2...0.179....3.38 Cain .......2.90...1-0....6.2....8....3....2...0.174...11.61 Bertuccini5.19...1-0....5.2....3....1....3...0.273....5.19 Haydel ....6.59...0-0....4.1....1....2....3...0.286....2.20 C. JoesBros...how would you like to see Chad Jones close out a game? Dude is huge.
  20. You think we go Coleman, Ross, Renaudo?? I think that would be the smart move. Renaudo is no doubt your ace and I know his pitch count wasnt high in the last game. But if the Tigers can pull game one out I'd take my chance with Ross in game 2 and if it dosent work out then Renaudo can be ready for the final game. So we match up Ross with Jungmann and Renaudo with Green?? On another note...I sure would like to see Hanover get a couple of at bats with the way he hit against Arkansas. 8)
  21. We have 9U practice today ??? ??? DVR is your best friend...just make sure you have your cell turned off...because if you have friends like I do they will try and ruin it for you. I turn everything off and dont read any texts when I DVR anything. I actually canceleld our practice today..wings and beer tonight! Save your money and have your practice...I can tell you the outcome of the game tonight and tommorrow...LSU SWEEPS. Coleman tonight with Renaudo tommorrow.
  22. Or try 1470AM out of Lake Charles. www.cajunradio.net Home of Tiger Baseball...they also have some pretty good music.
