  1. I wouldn't say that Milton Bradley is a star...lol
  2. I'm quite certain that the NBA doesn't like sweeps because there's not enough money in them. I'm sure lots of people have been saying for years that these series have been fixed.
  3. As a left handed hitter, I can't decide if his swing or Will Clark's swing is the sweetest. I also agree, had Griffey stayed healthy up until now, he would have the record and Bonds would have been forgotten long ago
  4. As Dan Patrick says " you can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him. " It's not a question of Rondo stopping him or shutting him down. Kobe is going to get him points. You just have to throw Rondo in front of him and HOPE to slow him down some. It's up to the rest of the team to shut down the rest of the Lakers and still make sure that they get THEIR points.
  5. If this had been implemented when Karl Malone played, he would be penniless
  6. The Celtics.... 16 NBA Championships...A record 8 in a row from 1959-1966...Three separate Championship eras...When it comes to hanging Championship Banners, the Celtics are the cream of the crop. No organization has won more titles than the 16-time World Champion Boston Celtics. Whether it's the Green's first title in 1957, their 12th in 1974 or the 16th in 1986 the Celtics tradition of winning championships has stood the test of time. 'Nuff said!
  7. I'm glad the team won but I did have an issue with that double in the 9th that Bourn just kinda slapped at......Mr. Speedy should have had that ball. Just thought he was a bit lazy on that play and Cooper or one of the team leaders should have had something to say to him after the game about it.
  8. He couldn't get into the country to play for the team and they really needed those bats lol
  9. You're right, the fans don't get paid 8 mil a yr to represent the club but the fans are the ones who pay to support the club and make the club able to afford that 8 mil they pay him.
  10. He never ripped on teammates like he does now. So he questioned the ownership.....name one fan back then that didn't.
  11. Even if he doesn't play much, his experience and tutelage of Yao is invaluable.
  12. One of the best offensive catchers of all time.....he never had that great of an arm.
  13. I'm quite certain that he's got plenty of money. Here is an exerpt from his wikipedia file [Hidden Content] Anyone who donates 15 mil to a hospital should have plenty of money. Has it ever crossed your mind that he plays for that little of money because he loves the game? I know in this day and age, that's a rare thing but he just might be one of the rare ones....
  14. It was his first complete game as well.....Congrats on the No-No!
  15. What a difference a few days and some really bad press make..... [Hidden Content]
  16. Nobody in the league would pay this guy a couple million for 20 mins a night. He was never the best center in basketball but he was always good. He does a nice job filling in for the oft injured Yao. If you can get him for next to nothing then I say go for it.
  17. I don't recall Wagner doing anything like he's done in NY & Philly when he was here in Houston. The main reason they got rid of Wagner was because he was 32 and making 8 mil a yr.....plus they had Dotel waiting in the wings.... I'd like to see the article where Wagner ripped the Astros like he's done the Phillies and Mets.....
