#10 for BC Freshman was Matt Menard

bccarpenter15, What do you mean by the teams that the Freshman play? Don't they play the same teams that the rest of the school plays? Or is there something I'm missing? Obviously they play the Freshman groups from those schools, but didn't you play freshman when you were on the freshman team? Not sure what you mean?? Hopefully your attitude changes because you may be playing with them next year. I read that BC JV won 48-0, that is great. I wish BC and Nederland would match up, then I could see for myself.

It is always interesting when thetwo Middle Schools combine in High School, things start leveling out. No doubt Nederland will be good, and WOS is always good at all levels. I also remember BC doing well in Middle School, haven't heard any talk of them lately?

There has been a lot of talk about the Varsity teams. Freshman and JV start Thursday night, any predictions on these games? Or possible teams to watch?

Congrats to Big Ned! The BCLL is always strong in this age division, great showing for our Nederland boys. Who are some of the BC kids that were on this team? They are good players year in and year out.

Felts is playing with the SE TX Sun Devils 16u. Heard that team has some great players as well. Bellow, Robertson, Statum, and Hester are some of the 15-16 yr old names I have heard.

I did not see BC's 7th or 8th graders play this year. I have a son that played against BC when they were younger. I remember those young men, but the ones that stand out were the 8th graders. Personally, I am not so sure if size or heart is the most important quality in football? Believing you can beat any team is half the battle most of the time. I hope your small 7th graders grow to be able to compete with the larger opponents in your district, if that is reason they lost to those BIG teams. I wish BC all the best. Hopefully they can build a winning tradition like Nederland has.

Exactly what BIG teams did the BC 7th graders beat this year? What was their record? I hope your 7th graders can do as well as the 8th graders. They were undefeated for 2 years from what I hear. They have some power houses in that 8th grade group. Big shoes to fill. Nederland has a strong athletic program and always does, year after year. C.O. is always good. No doubt about it. C.O. all the way.

C.O. Wilson for sure. 8th grade was undefeated this year and the group behind them will do the same. Don't count out CMS, Nederland has some great athletes. As far as BC, this group is not that strong. The group ahead of them are very strong.

I have a son that will play as an 8 year old this year. We are interested in trying out. What is the cost of playing on a Big Red Machine team?
