Silsbee has to much talent to let that happen. It would be a huge upset. Jasper has come a long way but their not at that level yet.

I agree about the polls. Hj has 5 losses for the year. 4 of the losses where by teams who have been ranked this year. The other was to a 5-a team from Houston. The only 3-a teams they played were in district with the exception of one.Since the Silsbee win I expect them to get back in the poll and when they beat Orangefield should start climbing. ;D ;D ;D ;D

HJ is not the same team as the first of the year but, KB and lala are playing well right now and will carry them a long way. I know they will be fired up and ready and its going to be a great game. Orangefield will also be ready and wanting to remain undefeated and continue winning. There will be no losers after this game but 2 teams ready for the playoffs.

I'll be one of the first to admit I was wrong on the preseason picks. I picked Orangefield to be 3rd and I was proven to be wrong. I do believe that at the first you were not the same team you are today. I believe you became District by earning it. I knew from the beginning you had a very good Player in KK but, really didn't know there was anyone else. There was a good team just waiting to show their game, and it was good. I believe your Coach did a great job and deserves a lot of credit because he's a good one. Your team and individual players will represent 21-3a very well as district champions. Congrats

I know we both have friday's night game yet but, I'm just excited about Tuesday Night. HJ seeking to earn 2nd outright and Orangefeild trying for a undefeated district record. Should bring the best out of both teams. I know some have suggested Orangefeild rest their players but, your already going to have a week off because of the bye. This is playoff basketball that will be better than the first couple of rounds in the playoffs. Besides this is a great rivalry like Duke vs North Carolina. If you miss this one I hope you get well soon. ;D

I already knew your no comment before you played. That is why I had the slimmer of hope for a upset. Congrats to the District Champs you earned it. Now its time to get ready for the Playoffs and our game is going to help both teams prepare.It will be the same kind of game you might see at Reginals.Everyone should come watch the game it will be a good one. Congrats KK this is an awsome accomplishment. One thing I can say by watching her over the years is she gave everything all the time. She never quits and plays to the buzzer. You don't put up those kind of numbers without a lot of talent. Great Job.

Looks like they only played 7 players or only 7 scored which maent they intended on pouring it on.Must be some bad blood agaist their players.

Hamshire Fannet fans have been quiet this year. They gave Silsbee 2 close games and beat all the lower seeds. Can they pull off the upset. Its in Hamshire were anything can happen. Orangefield should dominate but, you never know. I'm pulling for Hamshire for selfish reasons.

Since you wasn't there I really don't understand your complaint. Your support of the girls by not showing up might be the reasons for their struggles. On the other hand what about the kountze girls who prepared for a game and had to ride the bench because the score was out of hand and then someone still complains. The only reason you could possibly complain about is if Kountze pressed the whole game. Since you wasn't there you can't let us know if the did. A game like that hurts both teams because kountze is preparing for the playoffs and a blow-out hurts them as well. No-one wants to see scores like that but it happens in boys also. All you can do continue to work and get better because you need to compete with that kind of talent if you want your girls to experience a playoff run that could stick with them for life.

This will be a good game. I beleive HJ can get it back togeather and win out and this will be a good test to get both teams ready for the playoffs.Last game Ang was raining 3's and HJ couldn't buy a bucket for nearly a quarter. Who will step up for this one.

Great now at least we know where to start. Next we would need to know if the Sponsers were there would you be willing to do it, and if so how can we help with the sponers and maybe get this thing rolling. TOGEATHER WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD and then everyone else will follow. May I make a suggestion? If you didn't run your friday night blitz for football season you would be hearing it then also. Why not continue it for basketball are even the entire year so you can cover the area teams better. Even get fans to send in miny video's and stats. If you only ask I know many fans who would do what ever they could to help.

Happy to speak on a subject that we have had before. The media for the most part do not beleive there is a girls sport. Sport and girls do not comprehend in there bone heads. The only way to get them to do their jobs as sports casters is to get togeather a lot of voices so we can be heard. Thats what it took to let women vote. In a muslem world this would be acceptable but here I would think more folks would stand up for their girls.Its not going to change untill we complain enough to get just one to start doing their jobs and then we watch that one and the rest will follow. A email by a lot of people to the editor or some way to get out our point.Girls are athletes to.

Perfect example of team ball. Everyone has talked about Kolby Bryant shooting to much, not be a team leader. This year he is not scoring as much and getting his teammates involved and they are now one of the best in the west.He can score 60 and his team would loss and then score 20 and his team win.The other night he took one shoot in the first half and they lead the nuggets by 24. Different team, same personel.

I miss spoke about the 3% I meant in college, at least thats what the announcer was saying the other night when I was watching a college girls game. On the other part I didn't say work harder. I was saying they will follow the game plan better or at least the plays even if they don't work. The just depend on the coach a little more. On the refs it don't matter who's right or wrong its still fun to talk about.

If your still checking this thread Bobcat05 let me say thanks for getting your degree so you can coach high school girls basketball. Other than refs what is desperatly needed is Girls Coachs who love the game and have a heart to teach. To many teams have coachs that don't have the love of the game. Its either to get a bigger check or no one else would do it. Coming from Orangefeild I know you will teach fundamentals and playing the game corrrectly. Also you must realize there will always be people like coach27 out there so just do the best you can and enjoy the game. Just a side note I know several little dribblers coachs who would make better coachs than some high schools have. Mainly for their love of the game and heart for the girls.

First who changed the game. your qoute about the athlete says fundamentals are not required.So we should quit teaching them and teach hully gully all the time. And the rest of your points apply to boys. Girls are different they listen and try to do what their coach tells them. The best teams I've had the prvilidge to watch was the 2004-2005 Orangefeild team and a team from Wimberly. They had the best fundamentals in passing. defense and all around game that I've ever watched. They played the way the game was intended.They where athletes but they didn't play out of control.Watching the college level like Baylor, Texas, Duke, Tennessee they all have one thing in common, they are all on the same page, they all have great fundametals and they are the best at the sport. Girls shoot better free throw percentage than boys on a average. They also shot 3 at a higher % the main difference is the dunk.The reason this post gets so emotional is I believe most of us want the game to be the same game we love to play.
