  1. Hats off to Kicker I have had a few phone conversations with him. I knew he is a difference maker for kids in this area. Even though his heart and soul is at WOS. TY for helping the kids Kicker
  2. Congrats WOS and fans. What a fine time to be a Mustang. Were not just talking about a season for WOS Mustangs were talking about a season for the ages. One of the very best seasons in the history of Texas High School football. You guys have had some special players and coaches for years but, this one was one for the ages.
  3. Thats deserved
  4. Word is that he was recruiting someone else but was going to discuss Roschon. This is a rumor I cannot confirm. I can say that Herman said that Roschon would be a priority for the class of 2019
  5. ANy news on arrangements for Liltex?
  6. He would be proud of you wearing his purple. Awesome gesture...
  7. A big congrats to WOS. I know most expected them to win this game. This is such a huge accopmlishment 3 back to back to back semi finals appearences. Such a massive accomplishment. This is right their with the Lamarques and the Stephensville Yellowjackets of the 1990's SO proud you are from our area!!!!!
  8. O wow he will be missed. Praying for his family.
  9. Well with the thinning of the crowds in football loacally should be some other joining in now
  10. That down hill slope on the field will only make him faster...LOL
  11. KJ Dad you are 100% correct I remember the exact conversation. You called it.
  12. Seriously just discussing my school please show me were I said we would beat anyone???
  13. A friend of mine compared his playingt style to Dakari Person (sp) from Dayton back in 1998. I remember him killing junior Dustin Long at Lamar in the first round in 1998. I do not remember his stlye of play except watching him run like the wind on PNG
  14. One thing about watching the kiddos grow up at PN and Groves you have an idea way ahead of time who to be looking out for and what to expect. Ill talk a brief bit here. The whole 9th grade team is stout. Very very good team. The 8th grade A team at PN excluding what Groves has will be stout losing 1 game in 2 years. They are explosive on offense. Austin Bost little brother is a very unique lefty who can throw the ball really really well for an 8th grader. Then the RB duo on that team is superb. Watch out for these kids Roschons senior year. The one RB is extremely talented and he will be playing as a soph most likely in the backfield behind Roschon withj Gavin Desalotte. The future is bright. Back to the man of honor in this post. Roschon was on my brothers sons team in junior football. They were dominate. I have been watching for him for several years. The abilities of Adam Morse (Lamar now) kept the uproar of Roschon quiet at PNG until after last season. We had the one Roschon sighting against Ozen last year for a few plays. Most in PNG new he was going to be a star. Just had to wait until his time arrived. Congrats Roschon and family this is a well deserved honor.
  15. I believe two lineman on both lines are back I know the big nose tackle on defense is a junior
  16. What is awesome to me we will have RJ back as well as Preston Hughes Preston Riggs And Austin Bosts
  17. I can honestly say that I live in a very political place when it comes to football. Part of that maybe the volume of Indian fans. The more fans you have naturally you will have more detractors. The other side to that coin is the fact that our former coach was so well loved in this community. He was not just a coach but sort of a icon after 1999. He was very similar to what Jeff is to Vidor now. Babin is like Duboise in BC in the way that he cares about Lumberton. Lumberton is decently successful at the junior league levels and some in Junior High. translating that to wins at the varisty level will require a change of the way the students in high school look at football. We have a kid who moved into PNG from Lumberton this year and he ended up living next door to me. When the season began he asked if he could catch a game with me. His words"to see what this PNG Football is all about." 2 games later he had a Purple shirt and was blown away. He said that the way PNG treats football and the way Lumberton looks at it is to very different things. The spirit of the school is not the same. This will help get kiddos to turn out if they can change this. Please understand this is not a shot at Lumberton yet and observation from an outsider with an insiders help. I absolutley think Lumberton has made a great choice in Babin. He will change the way football is looked at given the time to do it. Until then he will not have the participation to help find consistant winning ways. Lumberton has the kids to compete week in and week out once they start playing. We need Lumberton and all the teams to be better in our district to be able to compete at the highest levels of high school football. Tha last time PNG went to state we had 3 top ten teams in our district at one time. THAT WAS NO ACCIDENT> when you compete at that level you win big.
