Purple- my mother used to sell tickets at PNG. I just asked her for you. She said the season ticket total was in the 3200-3400 range.

My guess is that was Lumberton being completely amped and PNG acting as if they had been there before. Which they had. Just like Texas games.... sometimes the crowd is completely into it, sometimes it's just blah, more times than not, they win. I've been to a few Lumberton games though, when they are in it.... the crowd is there and good. But when they are not in it........ it's dead. Port Neches fans are there win or lose. As is Nederland fans..... I haven't been to many other games so I can't have an opinion on anyone else, unless you want to start talking Alaska high school football. Alaska high school football doesn't even come close to what you get in Southeast Texas. Another school that comes to mind of course would be Odessa permian.

Dayton over Nederland was hardly a game of the year. 63-0 was boring. I saw the game on TV last night and it sounded almost as quiet as a church service. Lobsided victory. It had all the potential to be the game of the year on paper, but it was nothing like it was supposed to be. The closer, more contested games are far better.
