HJ's JV did lose one game late last year, 40-36, at Orangefield. Flu and grades had decimated the HJ JV down to five players-- two of whom were probably too sick to be playing, but playing anyway-- in that road loss. HJ's JV went 23-1. The "weak" HJ JV's 23 victories included wins over Silsbee at home and away, without a true point guard playing in either game. Last year's undefeated HJ ninth grade team will also be contributing some players to this year's HJ varsity. thats whats up word 8)

The Horns are still without Cameron Burrell & Hagan Daigle, might as well say Dustin East as he is basically playing with one knee. This team has not been the same since these players went down to injuries early in the season. These three athletes were the unquestionable leaders of the team. Take that with the devastation suffered from IKE, have taken allot out of these kids emotionally. With that being said Hats off to Silsbee that played a great game, Lord knows they have had some distractions to overcome. I hope the Horns can end the season on positive note with a victory over the Cardinals this Friday night. Good Luck Horns excuses excuses

Get by Silsbee????? They won at Regionals by a large margin, but if you remember they beat Silsbee in the Montagne by about 40!!!! Both teams are very good and either team could beat the other on any given night. Now c'mon Lazeek, let's not get too carried away here. Yes HJ won in the Montagne, but not by 40. Score was 74-52. This is all moot though, Tigers will go back to Austin for their redemption. ;D 22.....40 what's the difference!!!! you know im from hj and i have witnessed us getting stomped by wos for all my years in high school and i cant lie normally i would be ready for bball season by now and say that wos would destroy us but we have really turned things around and i have faith that our guys can hang with wos for the 1st half for sure and i dont know if you know this but this year i feel we have the athletes to compete i and oh yeah dont worry how ever bad yall beat us it will come around about 4 times worse for yall in every other sport especially baseball and basketball but hey im proud of hj were finally back in the playoffs and got something good goin but i do feel we will fall WOS-35 HJ-24
