  1. The Lions are athletic but they are also not the most disciplined or fundamentally sound team(especially on defense). Lots of weapons on Offense but it wont be able to handle the athletic dline of Lumberton. I dont' know how any team gives up that many points to Caney Creek, they couldn't play their way out of a tube sock.
  2. Their game atmosphere against Caney Creek this year was pretty bad. The home stands were not even filled. Speaking of the stadium, it's the smallest stadium seating that I've ever seen for a school district that big. Horrible parking as well. And the sound clip they play when the Lions score, which is apparently a Lion growling, sounds more like a cross between a motorcylce engine and a whoopee cushion.
  3. Plain and simple, LISD and the people of Lumberton have got to face the fact that they need to increase funds that are allocated to the school, not just for athletics but also for academics and facilities. When class sizes are around 25-30, when teachers run out of desks for students to sit in, when teachers/coaches can go to smaller districts and receive better pay/benefits, when a School's entire athletic budget doesn't even compare to another school's(which is in the same district) budget purely allocated just for Football-then something needs to change. Lumberton may be a 4A school but when it comes to facilities/pay/commitment to Athletics, Lumberton leaves alot to be desired. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Lumberton and wouldn't live anywhere else but if we want Credeur to be here long term then some things need to change. There will be many schools that will be looking at him now and over the next few years to assist or lead their respective programs. He is an amazing man and the best motivator of young athletes that I have ever been around. He is the best person suited to lead the Raiders.
  4. Lumberton fans are missing the obvious, Lumberton Lumberjacks! And we're chopping down the competition.
  5. Smiley does have alot of speed, their QB #7 and their FB #20 are their threats. However, Lumbertion's D will match up well with a team that reminds me alot of Beaumont Central except for the fact that MSiley runs the flex/I option instead of the Spread. Lumberton 35 Smiley 14
  6. At Jasper, a kid from BC and a kid from Big Sandy both ran sub 16 minute times
