1. Just because you move the ball and gain yards doesn't mean you match up well physically.   Not sure where you got your intellect from but you need to ask for a refund.   You can get on here and honestly say BH physically  ( size / strength / speed) matched up with PNG or Dayton ( haven't seen Dayton but know their history ).    Your in a make believe world my friend. BH fans  I mean no disrespect towards your kids or program.......
I was at the dayton game this year and over half of their starting skill players are on par or better athlete-wise than our best 3 athletes...
i went to nine bh games this year and none of their losses were because they were out-matched physically. they were out-coached.
So BH matched up man for man against PNG, Dayton, etc........    Not sure what games you went to bigdaddy.
 3.
PNG better not be looking toward Angleton next week.. Brenham is no pancake.. I have only seen two PNG games this year, and I gotta admit, they didnt impress me enough to make me believe that they are legit contenders for a state title.. That being said, they are 11-0 so they are clearly doing something right. This is going to a be a lot closer game than some people think. Pulling for PNG in this one. I want to see them and Angleton mix it up next week, but if I am a PNG fan, watchout for the upset. Brenham takes this one.
I made all but 2 games this season and the thing that stands out to me is the fact that we don't turn the ball over.  Coach Faircloth plays fundamental and goes by the book.  Offensively  the scheme is great.  Good balance with the run and the pass , plus other that running the ball , he uses all on the field in the passing game.  Defensively , good size and strength up front, but I think the secondary play is awesome.  Keep up the good work and take it to the cubbies.........

 5. Mark my word.....he will most likely be the power back that Cody Johnson is now for Texas.  6'3 215lbs is not the proto type RB these days in College or Pros......
 6. With 4 teams going to the playoffs in 4A/5A it is getting harder and harder for teams to find suitable stadiums.  There is no stadium between Beaumont and Houston suitable for the playoffs.
Baytown Sun Article Eagle-Indian rematch tops bidistrict slate By Dave Rogers The Baytown Sun Published November 10, 2009 After nearly 30 years of coaching, Don Price has found something new for this week’s bidistrict game against Port Neches-Groves. The Barbers Hill football boss said it’s the first time he’s ever coached a playoff game that’s a rematch of an earlier meeting from the same season. Barbers Hill and PN-G, the No. 5-ranked Class 4A team in the state, will play one of five UIL bidistrict playoff games involving area teams Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Stallworth Stadium in Baytown. • Baytown Lee will play Pasadena Memorial Friday at 7 p.m. at Galena Park ISD Stadium. • Goose Creek Memorial lost a flip, so its playoff game against Beaumont Central will be on the Jaguars’ homefield at Zaharias Stadium in Beaumont Friday at 7:30 p.m. • Crosby will take on Nederland Saturday at 2 p.m. at Conroe’s Woodforest Stadium. • Dayton will play Vidor Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Sam Houston State’s Bowers Stadium in Huntsville. Additionally, playoff qualifiers Anahuac and Buna will meet in Anahuac Thursday to play the final District 23-2A game at 6:30 p.m. The game, which has no bearing on playoff seeding, was postponed, because 23-2A has a first-round playoff bye and the two teams did not want a week’s layoff immediately before the playoffs. PN-G, playing its first game under new coach Brandon Faircloth, won its season opener against Barbers Hill 21-20 on Aug. 28. Of course, Price’s Eagles coughed up seven turnovers in their first game with Matthew Viverette at quarterback and a late extra-point miss is all that stopped a fierce fourth-quarter rally short of forcing overtime. Since then, PN-G went on to finish the regular season 10-0, including an incredible 25-22 overtime win over Beaumont Central in last week’s District 20-4A championship game. The Indians blocked an extra point in the game’s waning moments and ran it back to tie game 22-22 and force overtime. The won in double overtime with a field goal. “Hopefully, this will be a good game,” Price said, his team 5-5 for the season and a fourth-place finisher in District 19-4A. “We’re going to have to play well, but we’re looking forward to the game.” This is Price’s ninth playoff team in the past 11 seasons at BH. Both teams have improved markedly since the season opener, but the Eagles were hit hard throughout the year by injuries. “If we’d have won the first game, would we be 10-0 right now?” Price said, repeating an interviewer’s question. “You never know. We’ve been snakebit a couple of times with turnovers in important games. “But the kids aren’t trying to turn it over. We try to be mistake-free.” Price is hopeful the Eagles might get back some injured players for this game. He expects senior receiver Caleb Stork to return after breaking his collarbone early in the season. Running back Andrew McMillan has been practicing after being out with an injured ankle. “We have not had the same starting 22 in any ballgame,” he said. “It’s been kind of an unusual kind of year.”
Is this the same Dave Rogers who wrote for the Port-Arthur newspaper?   If it is then I wouldn't trust what he writes in regards to the comments made by the individuals he is interviewing.  He always mis-quoted people here in the Golden Triangle. After reading this thru I don't sense anything wrong with the comments.  What do you want said?   I hope it is going to be a good game, I also hope it is a well played game.   Seems your coach is a classy guy.   Seems to have respect of people at PNG.   Allowing them to wear their home jersey's and be the home team.   From what I hear it was part of the deal to get the game at Stallworth in Baytown.  After googling the info, looks like the stadium is less than 12 miles from your HS.  Might as well be a home game for BH. If BH had turf you could have flipped home and home.  Why doesn't BH have turf?  Of all the schools in this area, one would think BH would have been the 1st to get it. Good luck to both teams.
Here we go again! ::) There are several on PNG with Southland Conference capabilities, which is D1 (FCS). Seniors: Dallas Davis (6'5" 280 DE in 3-4) Dre Dunbar - Safety Spencer DeRon (6'3") H-Back/TE (reminds me of the Seth Harley kid from LCM a few years back that went to McNeese Caleb Harmon - RB Juniors: Greg Lunceford (6'3" 270 lb OL) DJ Schexneider (6'3" 220 lb OLB in 3-4 Rushing the QB) Brennan Doty (6'3" QB) needs to add some weight. I agree PNG does not have a bunch of Big 12, SEC or even CUSA guys, but the guys listed could all play in the SLC and a couple in the Sunbelt.
Spencer DeRon is no Seth Harley.  DeRon can catch the ball. but when it comes to blocking he is not in the same zip code.  Harley was complete, maybe blocked better than he caught the ball.
From everything I've heard in the past 6-7 years is that LaMarque not only has major race relations issues, but they have a group of well-known businessmen/alumni that sit around stirring the pot.  They don't let the coaches do their jobs, instead they go around constantly second guessing everything, starting rumors, and turning the kids against the coaches are trying to do.  Its politics at its worst.   LaMarque was spoiled in the 90's under Waddell and Walker, and expect every season to be an undefeated season and a state championship season.  Its not gonna happen.  New coaches should be given their due time (3-4 years) to implement their system, and one bad season shouldn't kick them out of town.  In this case I know its been 2 seasons, but go back and look at the last few coaches.  If I remember correctly, one guy was hired in the winter or spring and left before his first football season there because crap is so bad. Like I said, with the politics going on, and the unreasonable expectations, who would want that job.
Sounds like some of the Barbers Hill Fans.....  Go to the PNG/BH thread or forthat matter any BH thread and see how they question everything. LaMarque will be back .....just give them time.....
 11.
Oh I beleive BH can win and I'm sure BH does, but at the end of the day we have to hold onto the ball and the Coaching has to be flawless to win against PNG. Either one of these lack and PNG advances! I think with a week off there should be no excuses from not coming in with a game plan to win! If that means every player goes both ways then so be it! One bad game and your done starting next week! I think every coach and BH player should be attending the PNG/Central game Friday night in person!
So what kind of game plan do you expect BH to come up with.?    You sound like your lobbying for BH to play kids both ways.....  I don't know of many schools at the 4A level who play kids both ways.  Maybe a few (  Dayton does )  but Dayton is a different breed of football players.  Never seen kids get after it like their kids do. Every team comes into a game with what they hope is a good game plan.    Comes down to Execution...... Your already setting up your excuse if BH loses.  I can hear it now.........play calling stunk and the plan was flawed.  Should have played the kids both ways...
 12. Should be a packed house.......  better arrive early! Any news on where BH / PNG will play next week if the match-up happens.?
 13. Tough game.....With wet fields being a factor I will take the Raiders......Will be close though.
 14. Lumberton will be ok.  I know their lower levels are doing great.  Creduer does a good job  ;D

 17. Mr. Purple..........there are certain BH fans that are never satisfied.  Easy to see who they are.  Saw BH play PNG 1st game of the year.  What you said about them is true.....they give great effort, have great character, and are fundamental........! Sounds like good coaching to me. Good luck to Dayton!
 18.
Well seems everyone is passionate about their views, which is a good thing.  If we did'nt care what would the program be?  I agree with who said, a team should be worried if they face BH.  Minus turnovers it could be a different standing in district 19-4A.  Soon after this season maybe the passion will cary over and change happens.  Anyone know any great O-Coordinators or head coaches that might be a good draw for BH  I don't think it would be any suprise for Price, he did after all apply for the Lake Travis job last year. By the way, Lake Travis and PNG have first year coaches and both are undefeated.
Sometimes people are called and asked to put their name in the hat.   Just because you apply for a job doesn't mean you are unhappy where you are. Although, with fans like some of the ( as you call them) passionate BH fans,  I would look to at other options.   But, every school has its complainers and people with various opinions.  It's a free world and everyones right to have an opinion.   But some of you BH people are EXTREME....
 19. Love the Hair in the pic Ranger. Looks like Screeech from Saved By the Bell.........
 20. And what is a 4A offense?   PNG. LCM, and Nederland all run the spread just like BH.   Just like someone said earlier this year on a post,  " we need a 4A coach........."  .     Didn't know they offered degrees in college that specified what level of coach you could coach.? If this is true,  Fairchild at PNG stepped down a level because he went from 5A to 4A.
 21. Sounds like a great game...... BH is a class act. Saw that 1st game of the year at PNG. Keep playing hard BH.
 22. What school has the worst FANS in regards to always being critical of their team and coaches? I will start it off with saying......... Hamshire-Fannett
