  1. Someone please post the final. I was taping it but didnt catch the end. Last i got it was 2-2 with about 10 min left.
  2. First of all, you said "hammered" which is why it was in quotes. Second, you said you only watched Scott play in four games, then you said you saw seven Lumberton games? Trust me when i tell you that he has plenty of adults telling him what to work on as it is and i dont think what you're doing falls into that category. You could have just put your nominees up, but instead you took the oppurtunity to say ("not Poole by any chance"). I was'nt just talking about these latest ramblings, but all the times someone has talked about this kid you had something to say. When did someone say he was the best player in this area? Where did anybody say he was the best player on Lumberton's team? Where did anybody say he was a phenom? You have severe selective hearing issues. Stop trying to justify every jab by saying you'd like to have 10 Pooles on your team. Anybody would. Of course Poole is not a Waldrup, nor will he ever be. Ive never seen anyone like Waldrup to be honest. Not that Scott couldnt be as good or better, but they have totally different styles. If you are a coach, i'd expect you to know that. If i were a coach at the school or coached Poole at all I'd tell him its great if another coach is more worried about him than helping his own get better. Poole is one of the most liked, respectful, intelligent, and skilled young men I've met in this area. Ask some of those players you talk about, and they will tell you the same I'm sure. Show a little class and say something nice about him without using the word but for once.
  3. You're not a Ned fan? Really?!! Its really sad for a grown man to "hammer" a kid based on the fact that someone else thinks he's a better player than you do. I think your assessment of Scott's inability is overboard and happens way too often. And Im a person who enjoys discussing local talents. You havent seen Scott play but four games this season; How many Ned games did you see? Did you not see the three games that they played against each other? Scott can handle the ball very very well as a matter of fact, but what he did this year was exactly what he was told. Did it help his team and did it work well in the whole scheme of things? YEP! Hopefully you'll be able to witness much more of his talents with the ball next year. Maybe he'll be able to move up and play more of an attacking or ball control position. BTW when he was pulled up in the first 10 min of the Central game guess who scored...
  4. Hey shark, whats the deal with you always commenting about Poole? Do you coach a team that Scott didnt want to play for or was he on a team that beat your favorites or what. cause thats what it sounds like. I can tell you're a Ned fan but come on. If they had two fresh on their team that were better, I surely didnt notice. Dont get me wrong, because Ned does have some very talented young men but which positions were you talking about? Scott played the year at stopper and still ended up at like 15th in scoring for the district. So are these freshmen above him on that list? I'd really like to know who you are referring to as i am sure they probably dribbled around Scott when they played each other this year.
  5. What age groups will they be teaching?
  6. "Even further, Fernando was leaps and bounds better than Waldrup." "Third Soccerfan, Waldrup may have scored 30 goals but against who?" JCB, I believe they played the same teams and not only does Waldrup have more goals but more assists as well. I could be wrong, but it looked to me that Brent played forward for not even half of the first half and then defending midfielder for the remainder of the game. And he did a great job of it.
  7. Well JCB, the other players you mentioned for Lumberton are good, in fact, great soccer players, however you ask any of them who the team mvp should be and i can assure you they would tell you it is without a doubt Brent Waldrup. And i can also assure you that they have seen him in action much more than you. Yeah-Yeah, being the "Great Athlete" that he is goes out and does whatever his job is to the best of his ability. Im sorry if it didnt seem to you that his job vs. Cetnral was to go be a Superstar but he did his JOB almost to perfection (Hence Central having only 6 shots on goal). And that is part of what has, is, and will in the future always make him a great athlete, a super young man, and a spectacular soccer player.
  8. BIG?!! Lumberton is BIG? Must be talking area wise.
  9. "and that's why they stand out on top in district." You do know how to edit your posts, right? Be ready to Friday night! I think Lumb stands out more on top and its not because I'm "hating on" Central. Lumberton has the same or more skill players with lots more speed. Central does know and play the game very well, however I dont think they will be able to keep pace with those gazelles from the woods. Their attack is relentless and they dont stop once they find the net. They just attack harder and more precisely. Lumberton is not without flaws, but the time to take advantage of them is fading. It seems that they have come tegether as a team so its going to be hard to stop them.
  10. Each team had 1 yellow. The keeper for Central cursed the ref after png scored the first goal and a png player took down Fernando from behind. Other than that, very clean game
  11. This was a really close game all the way through. I have to give PNG the edge on time of possession and scoring oppurtunities. Central had the most ankle-breakers and best shots. All in all, a very good matchup that could go either way next time they meet. Bottom line, Central, in my opinion, had less oppurtunities to score but sure took advantage of them. Great play by Fernando in the box to go up by 1. I have seen a few Central games that i thought they played a little too physical at times, however i thought png committed more fouls throughout this game then they did. Kudos to central for gaining the momentum and taking control after going down a goal. Good game fellas!!
  12. 1. Lumberton 2. Central 3. Nederland 4. PNG 5. Vidor 6. Silsbee 7. LCM 8. HJ 9. Ozen 10. WOS
  13. ive talked to cody several times already and trust me he has other options. As a matter of fact, ive read them. maybe since the last time you read the rules, things have changed a bit is all. However, cody is a great guy and an awesome coach. I know several coaches that heve said they would have fought for their kids too. Maybe some of you "coaches" may not be as animated or driven as he so this is the perfect oppurtunity for you to poke at him. Read adminbaberuth's post and you may be getting warm as to what i was talking about. As for specifics, im sure you'll all hear about it. And believe me, when its all said and done, Cody's rep will definately not be marred in the least. As for the profanity, the ump is the one after the game with the mouth. the players were out of line by talking to him but all i heard them say were things like you really blew that one blue and i dont know what game you were watching, wish you could have been at this one.
  14. first of all, to the retiredoldcoach, cody has other options. And he does not have to go to the state capital. Second, i can assure you that what happened with the catcher interference is definately NOT taught and will be reprimanded. IF you watch this on video, you will see Cody going over and fussing at him. And third, when Cody came out to talk to the ump the first time the ump told him that he needed to go to the dugout. He did. After that inning was over, he jogging out to his coaching position and the ump said "I told you you were suspended to the dugout". Misunderstanding. But it was already enough to set him off even more. Cody has NOTHING to be ashamed of. by the way bearbacker, i like how you can honestly put 2 runs scored on passed balls. Nice!
