1.
I have to agree with the notion that the Lumberton offense as ran last year was not to there advantage as it might have been in another district. We played Livingston 1st district game and struggled, faced Lumberton a few weeks later and did much better then faced Vidor late in the season and looked like a team that new what it was doing against the misdiraction running attack.  3+ weeks of preparation was a plus. Same thing happened the year before. Livingston gave us fits right outta the box, then Vidor our boys looked better prepared and finally against BH in the playoffs they looked solid. It really doesn't matter that the offenses are different, the fact is they are built around misdirection and learning the hard way early on not to take the bait is big advantage later in the season.
B-I-N-G-O !
 2.
Coach Creduir is the oc has been and will continue to be.
Wrong ! Randy Rowe (Liv) & Jeff Mathews (Vid) are OC's for Lumberton .
 3.
Lumberton was in a 3 way tie with PNG and dayton in the 07-08 season, they also won the district outright in 08-09.
Who was our Offensive Coordinator back then ? and Where is he now ? He really knew how to keep the defense on their heels . He had a good balanced attack
 4.
There will NEVER be another Jack Lynch! Easily on my top 10 list of people I admire and respect the most!
*Mod edit -  Do not bash any coaches!! *
 5. I guess coach c thought we would be headed into 3a after last year . I think that's why he installed the copycat offense . Don't get to complacent coach. We are still 4A so let's get back to the drawing board and get creative again.
 6. If we don't change the offense then Crueder will not be here much longer
 7. ;)
WONDER HOW MANY OF THE STATE WINNERS PLAYED THE WING / DEAD / MR T THIS YEAR............................................JUST SAYIN  ;)
8.   :-\
 9. I just wish that our coach would get creative again and stop being a "wanta-be Mathews" or "wanta-be Livingston coach " !
 10. There is no helping you vp32 . Your ate up with it !

This entire debate started not because of the offense itself but the number of teams running it in the same district. Your arguments are good but circumstances are different w/ three teams running it .                                                                                1. 1. Teams that run 4-2-5 or any other defense might have to change personal packages for one game in your scenario but in a district that has three teams running this offense one week becomes three weeks . At this point it becomes fundamental. 2. I can attest to the fact that neither Lockhart or Liberty Hill had any other teams in their district running the same offense as them (in their district)
Any offense can be good. It helps to have great athletes in the offense, but all offenses are good. Vidor in the wing t and nasty slot did a great job last year and that is very similar to the Dead T. If you can line up in a Dead T or even a wing t and run a buck sweep to perfection you are almost unstoppable. Lockhart did it 3 years ago with some of the worst talent in the state of Texas. They went from 0-10 to I believe 8-2 and a playoff team. Plus with teams lining up in the 4-2-5 now, they have to switch personnel for that one week to be big enough up front for the downhill attack. One last example is Liberty Hill, the won a few state Championships, in some wild formations, with no one flanked out.

And you aren't running the same offense as us and Livingston so what's your point?
Nope , you did not . Your hopeless ! Just hopeless.

Actually, last years QB just wasn't as strong in passing as the previous year. My hope is that this years QB will have a good arm and a good head on his shoulders. Hopefully will have some good hands at receiver too, that way a more balanced game can be played. A coach has to use what his teams strengths are, it's that simple.
A team that runs this style of offense is not always looking to put the best arm @ QB . Just Saying !
I hate to break it to ya man but being a qb is not all about how good your arm is.  ::)
I have several sources from within the program and from what I hear Crueder is going all in on this offense . He plans on making a long term commitment to the running game . So don't get your hopes up . We will not be switching back to our real offense anytime soon .
 15. Actually we are on the same path as Livingston & Vidor for that matter . Both started out their offensive scheme with the single wing & wing T .We ran many plays out of the Slot T last year . Just not against Vidor . We practice Vidor plays directly off of your scouting films .

LOL...No RaiderNaytion, im not the coach...Just a former player, who still bleeds columbia blue and red !!
No harm meant ! I just dont like the copycat aspect of our offense. There is something about mimicking other teams offenses . Why can't wedind our own way ?
Technically you didn't mimic the offense of any other team. You may have adopted something similar but its not the exact same thing as any other teams offense.
17. Coach ! Is this you ? ;D
Well in my opinion, any coach has to try and go with his strengths. The ideal situation for any program is to have balance between the running and passing game. We all know at the high school level its very difficult to be lucky enough to have an equally balanced  offense. It was apparent to me this year that Coach Credeur had to divert and go with where his strengths were and that was the running game.  With that, as a coach you have to go "all in" and hope that your strong points out weigh you weaknesses.  I think Coach Credeur is innovative in his thinking, and will adjust as needed.  And yes there are several variations of the T offense, and watching it this year on our side of the field, i do agree that there is so much you can run off of that style of offense. Throw in motion packages, misdirection, and a passing game, it can be a very difficult offense to try and defend.  I felt our kids picked up the new offense fairly well in a short amount of time. Granted it isnt a flashy as the spread, but it can be just as effective if you are limited in talent in certain areas of your offense...
18.
Well i know quirante personally and i know he has been contacted by BYU. Maybe he's not up there cuz its his first year or something. Idk. And i know i was just addressing his sarcastic comment about developing quarterbacks.
Montana Quirante is a great athlete (man amongst boys ) but I guarantee you that no scouts out there (not even slc schools) are giving him a thought a qb . Because he is not a seasoned Qb per say , in a traditional offense. Now , with that being said : He could probably play @ alot of D-1 schools as linebacker . Linebacker is the position that he is being scouted for .
 19. Vp32, you stated in an earlier post on page 1 of this thread that our offense is not even similar . Man , I'm beginning to think that you argue just for the sake of arguing !

Coach , please do away with the pop Warner playbook. We used to actually develop pretty good QBs . That will never happen as long as we're running the ball every play . The program is taking a step backwards . . GET ORIGINAL
Pop warner playbook? Seriously? Insinuating that this offense doesn't develop quarterbacks? Do you even know what your talking about man? Montana Quirante, our QB, has offers from several D1 schools, inculding BYU and I'm sure that Collins (qb from livingston who runs the same offense) has plenty of offers as well. Give me a break man.
21. Oh , we run a very similar offense that requires gap disipline defense. Are you telling me that the defensive gaps variate from your offense to ours ? Don't think so .

let the coaches do the coaching raidernaytion.  ::)
vp32, It doesnt do Vidor any good either . Now more teams are practicing for your offense . They get an extra week to prepare for you , us & Livingston. Is it not obvious ? Just saying !
You run a variation of our offense man. You don't do the same thing we do. Its not even that similar. Its about as similar as the spread and pistol offenses. Plus even if you did run the straight slot t there are several different ways to run it with all kinds of plays and motions and passes and everything else. I'm not worried.  8) But on the other hand if you do nail down the mechanics and blocking and misdirection and fakes then that offense can be very explosive and dangerous. Maybe your coach saw what players he had coming up and he decided to fit his offense to what players he has.
