  1. I don't know the current enrollment at any of the school, but I do know that these were the cutoff points last relignment 2006-2007 & 2007-2008 5A 1985 & up 4A 950 to 1984 3A 415 to 949 2A 195 to 414 1A 194 & below The numbers always go up. So you are looking at the cutoff between 2A and 3A to be 430 minimum.
  2. Chances of BC and Silsbee meeting up again in the bracket is not likely. The second place team in the district will win the 1st round, but then they meet up against Columbus, which is a powerhouse with an all state outside hitter, and chances aren't too good of winning that game. However, you never know.
  3. Do either of you watch volleyball? Vidor has been destroyed by injuries and girls leaving the team. They also have a player who's mom is very sick with lukiemia (however you spell it) and can't hardly emotionally play. Bridge City is one of the scrappiest teams I've seen all year and have a dominating outside hitter. The only other team in that district that has a lot to offer this year is Silsbee and the split during the season. So why do either of those situations go hmmmmmm?
  4. Someone said this was going to be a break out game for LC-M's offense. Hmmmm...have you not seen PN-G's defense. LaMarque is ranked in the top 10 in 4A and only scored 19 and Crosby only scored 7 and they are ranked in the top 20. PNG's offense is not helping the defense either...seems like the defense is always on the field. Someone else says PN-G is winning the sloppy ones...I assume you mean the games with a lot of turnovers. If the other team is having an average or 3 to 4 turnovers a game don't you think maybe...just maybe PN-G's defense is forcing those turnovers? If there is something wrong with LC-M's offense like some of you say...be ready to see some more turnovers. I think it's a close low-scoring defensive battle. PN-G 20 LC-M 10
  5. I have been to a lot of the Hamshire-Fannett volleyball games and as I watch, I notice they have no heart. No passion. Much of the time they look like two different teams. One on the court and one on the bench. It looks like the girls on the bench would rather pout about not being in the game than being part of the team and bring energy to their team from the bench. It also seems anytime they get down they fall apart and can not respond. They are lacking heart. I love hamshire-fannett volleyball, but if those girls don't find some heart...they are going to find themselves on the outside looking in when the playoffs roll around.
  6. Great Pre-season game. I think Silsbee will win in 4. No disrespect to PN-G but they are down this year and have not powerful hitters. Silsbee...stay away from the Libero!!!
  7. Bridge City is returning all starters but one. However, they have no one coming up on the J.V. or Freshman level that will make an impact. H.J. not only got a great head coach, but also an a great assisstant coach. However, they too lack the natural talent. If there are any coaches who can make that program grow, it will be those two coaches. I would say Silsbee, BC, or H-F winning the district and those three making the playoffs.
  8. Just wanted to hear some predictions for district 21-3A Volleyball this year.
