The United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur will hosting a 3 on 3 basketball tournament on February 9th benefiting NothingButNets.net. This is a fundraiser to help buy nets for children in Africa to help prevent malaria! This is a great charity sponsored by The United Methodist Church, Sports Illustrated and the NBA!! Entry fee will be $50 per team. The divisions will be youth boy's & girl's 13-17 and adult men's and women's 18 and up. I don't know what all went down after we (Groves) got knocked out of the tournament but this I know...Orange had a great team!! I have played and beat and lost to this group of kids in Pony League games before from the Shetland level to Pinto level. They are not select!!! They play league just like everyone else and pick allstars just like everyone else. Should we be jealous they are so good...I am...but I respect and appreciate how good their team was this year. Sorry the experience was not great but don't let it take away from what you accomplished. I have developed a good relationship with the Orange coaches and I would just like to say they are a class act. Good Luck!! Win it all!!!

I take it Vidor beat TC? Score? And I take it Orange beat Vidor? Score? All three teams were good this year. Congrats Tony, Chad and the rest of Orange.

I got on here to find out info about the Groves LL All Star team and all I read are entries from a couple goofballs who obviously have no life and must be picking 12 year old fantasy baseball teams. I guess there is a thrill in beating down young kids and comparing talent? I don't get it but then again what do I know I'm a mature adult with 3 kids. Please take your crap to another site and rag on professional athletes and leave this site for those who just want to support a group of young boys trying to do their best. I don't know your purpose for trying to figure out who is better. Quit trying to act like you belong on Sports Reporters on ESPN. They are 11 and 12. Give me a break. I got no use for guys who act like they know sports and have never even put on a jock. Last years team and this years team both deserve our support!!!
