Some of us on the DownLow are having a little Meet and Greet for dinner at McKenzies in Huntsville beginning at 5:30 Friday. You are all welcome to join us. If you think you might drop by, please send me a PM so we will know how many to expect. McKenzies is actually two restaurants. The right side is the hamburger side, and the left side is BBQ. Here everyone can order and pay in the line and then we are finished with the red tape. I will be there on the BBQ side at 5:30. I will be wearing blue jeans, and a red shirt so I should be easy to find. I also wear glasses, am medium build, about 5'10". For added measure I probably will be wearing my red and white Jasper baseball cap. ----------------- Directions to McKenzies. Exit off IH45 onto 11th Street, and go east, past one traffic light, then it is tucked back in a little strip shopping center on the left side. The I45 exit is number 116. This street has several names. For reference, from the west going into Huntsille this is Hwy 30. In Huntsville it is 11th Street. From the east, from Livingston, it is Hwy 190. If you cannot find it, most everyone in Hunstsville should be able to direct you.

I think LH wins this week no matter who they might be playing, because they are salivating over the possibility, (remote though it may be) that they might get another shot at the Jasper Dogs next week. They have been living for that for three years. ;D it's ok. Jody will get them if the match-up occurs.

Yes, it is a little too soon to say. But in my opinion this team is quite a bit ahead of where the 04 team was at this same point in time. The week, and next if Jasper wins this week, will tell the tale. From what I saw Saturday, this is perhaps the first Jasper "spread" team that truly "spreads" the field. Did you notice that those TD tosses were spread around. And that there actually were some "short" complete passes to open up the running game? Awesome, in my opinion, for a sophmore QB who had never played the position until a few weeks ago.

but it is also much more than "genes". Else how did Jasper go 2-8 last year with basically the same kids who are rolling right now? Coaching, Motivating, Coaching, keeping the good kids in athletics, Coaching ...

True. There are four Bronsons on this years Jasper team, and they are all forces with which to reckon. And don't forget the Hadnots, Adams, and Spikes, as well as Scotts from years past .....
