Very true. I met one of the Liberty-Eylau parents before the state game and she said that LE had not been challenged all year except for maybe one playoff game. We all saw what happened when Jasper applied the good ole SE Texas pressure. I think a big part of the credit should go to the district teams that applied plenty of pressure to Jasper.
We'll soon see. Jasper has really been coming on lately. Of course, several of the Jasper players had to play catchup in BB after the playoff run in football. I think it is fair to say they now have their basketball legs.
I saw them for the first time Tuesday, and I left shaking my head wondering how Bailey did some of the things he did. All I can say, he is just a little MJ.
loose? we are gonna turn the dogs loose tonite! ;D
yes yall did "turn the dogs loose"....but your dogs just were not good enough....great game silsbee.....#10 and #5 are fabulous from anywhere on the court....
I saw #5 Bailey play basketball for the first time Tuesday night. He was so accurate, I wondered why he bothered moving the ball downcourt. He hit one shot barely past mid-court. And that is to say nothing about his speed and quickness. I think that if Jasper can just get into the playoffs from this very tough district, they may surprise some folks with a few playoff upsets.
another long 3 pointer, Jasper 56-47
4.51 to go in third.
Jasper hitting from all over the floor, and HJ press is having no effect on Jasper. Jasper speed too much tonight for HJ.
The key to Jasper's game thus far is Bailey. He is on fire, and announcers say HJ has had no answer for him. He has used his speed for easy layups all night, as well as firing in 3 pointers from downtown.
