Kville wouldn't have even scored if our little sophomore corner hadn't have gotten caught looking inside, you should be thanking Barbay for having a heart and not running the score up or it woulda been closer to the 100 point victory  that somebody else predicted, give your kids credit, they did all they could do, but don't talk down on us like we are just OK, we're pretty dang good, and like Kville we will get better too, best of luck on the rest of the season.
I give credit to Coldspring. Yall are good but we are way down or else it would have been a close game just like the previous game. We have nothing but Sophmores every where too and even freshmans playing as well. Good luck on the Trojans im looking to see how far yall go. Like i said its been a Very long time since Kirbyville has been beaten this bad. Coldspring has a good player in Sherman Gilbert, but i wonder if he run into a team that keys on him well what Coach Barbay gonna do then. I think yall gonna have to rely on the defense to keep up.
As if Gilbert has never been keyed on?  CS has more than one way to get the ball to Gilbert.  And in an open field, watch out.  His speed is on a whole other plane.
 2. Raider fans that knock your team: perhaps, maybe, just maybe, Jasper is a whole lot better than you gave them credit for?  After a few more games we will begin to see the relative strengths of all the teams.  It is too soon to get down on your team.
 3. Congrats Dogs!  now go do the same thing to Livingston!
 4. The ability to make adjustments on the fly is what separates the great coaches from the average.
 5. Lumberton getting back into the game.  Scored, and driving again.  Jasper 28 - 14
 6.
Kirbyville is definely down
maybe not.  Coldspring is definitely good! and Gilbert is possibly the faster rb in texas.
 7. what is to happen in the second half?  Will Jasper call off the dogs, or try to pour it on?  Will Jasper even be able to continue to pour it on?  Lumberton may make some big time adjustments for the second half.
 8. what lit the fire under Huntington?
 9.
Wasn't Morrissey the QB last year for Jasper?
yep.  moved back to his soph rb spot.  apparently that is his right position.  he did a pretty good number on Gilmer as a soph.  not surprised that Lumberton seems to have no answer for him
 10.
what radio station has the game?
I cannot get it on this computer, but: www.kjas.com should get the game for you from an unbiased Jasper viewpoint.  ;)

Its gonna to get ugly for Jasper real early in this one. I cant wait Go Raiders
Not trying to start anything but i have to say something. Jasper is not just some small mediocore school. If i remember right they gave yall a pretty good game last year. In fact didn't they beat yall? I think they did. So i wouldn't count them out just yet.
no, Jasper did not beat Lumberton last year.  Jasper has some positives this year, but they have yet to accomplish anything.  let their play on the field do the talking.  might be some surprises.  ;)
 12. Jasper 14, Lumberton 10,  (homer pick)  ;D
 13.
????????? have not seen anything from Jasper yet how did they do in there scrimmage?
what I read was tied Bridge City 6-6 and lost to Coldspring.
 14.
Bridge city scored went for two didnt make it tied 6 to 6
final?  a nail biter!  should be good experience for both teams.

 16.
they're running the same offense carthage ranned last year.
not surprised.  but for those of us that do not know what Carthage ran, what did they run?
 17. Coming out of the "SE Texas districts including WOS and Silsbee" Jasper made 4a QF in 2001, 3a Semi's in 2002 and 2003, and state final in 2004.  True, not so much since then....  >:(
 18. If the new HC repeats the success he enjoyed at his last stop as defensive coordinator, Jasper will be in the playoffs this year, and will then start some old fashioned Jasper football winning. Rumor has it that the now soph class is one of the most talented classes in years.  Jasper may turn some heads even this year.

The same Ricky Tullos that was AD at Cleveland? Wow.  Job market must be slim out there
Try finding a teaching position if you are NOT a coach. Now that's slim.
Yes that's true.  But I would imagine that with the success Tullos had at Cleveland he would be able to fine a HEAD coaching job somewhere.  Unless he just wants to stay in the area.  Or if he wants to be next in line for Deel's job...?....
isn't Tullos the one that got a head coaching job last year or so at New Waverly and Livingston would not release him?  if so, pox on Livingston as far as i am concerned....  when someone gets a promotion offer, the classy thing seems to be to let him go.  might have been a good short term decision for Livingston, but might be a terrible long term decision.  might be enough to make any up and coming young coach think twice before accepting an assistant job there.
The same.  But remember, Tullos accepted the New Waverly job, if I remember correctly, during the 2nd week of two a days last year.  Leaving that late would have left Randy Rowe hardly any time to replace him....completely different situation from this year when he accepted a position pretty early in the summer which leaves Coach Deel an opportunity to replace him if he wishes.
true.  the "villian" if there was one probably was the NW coach that abruptly left NW in the lurch.  but still, the fact remains that when you hold someone in a place against their will to the detriment of their career .........  didn't smell good to me.
