  1. Congratulations to Vidor's Shetland and Pinto teams. Going to Irving is a great experience and it sounds like yall had a good run. They will learn where the GT is if they don't know by now.
  2. That's two years in a row that a team from the GT has finished 5th in State. Let's keep it going and sooner or later one of our teams will get the Championship.
  3. I have used that statement on more than one occasion. However, I have never been thrown out of a game. I'm not sure where you're from or what area you are talking about but I can tell you that 3 coaches being thrown out is very low.
  4. I just got back in town so I'm a little late replying. It sounds like Vidor is representing the Golden Triangle well. I also want to thank all of the coaches that helped on the field. It really takes more than just a few guys to take care of it. I know I'm preaching to the choir because more than likely all of the people that stepped in and helped from the other cities are the ones that do it at their own park. I hope to return the favor in the future.
  5. Congratulations to Vidor players and coaches. Keep up the Good work and have fun. You have support in Orange.
  6. Now that's what I like to hear!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck tonight.
  7. I don't have a dog in the fight but just based on what I have seen, I would say Vidor is the team to beat. Vidor in game one.
  8. I think over all the tournament was great. The field seemed to be in excellent condition and the concession stand was good. Keep the grilled chicken sandwich it was wonderful. I probably had too many of those. Excellent host. I too will post when we have our select tryouts. Go Orange! Go GT Yellow Jackets!
  9. Vidor already won Shetland and is in good shape to win Pinto can't we have something? That would have been a clean sweep. Assuming Vidor gets by Groves at least once tonight in Pinto.
  10. Congratulations to the Orange players and coaches. Good luck to both teams tonight. It just started thundering in Orange and sounds like the rain can't be far behind.
  11. Hey guys, part of the game is coaching. You have to know the rules and you have to play by the rules. I hope your comment wasn't to get on the Orange coaches because they did their job. If the kid wasn't eligible to pitch according to the rules then too bad. It's Oranges job to point it out. Just like the night before when they never pointed out the courtesy runner. That was a coaching mistake. Coaching mistakes can cause you to lose games. The Orange coaches obviously knew the pitching rules and pitched their kids accordingly. We had every pitcher we have on the team available to pitch last night. Now that's good coaching I don't care where you're from. Congratulations players and coaches and parents. Go Orange! I wasn't getting on the coaches at all.. If I was coaching I would have did the same thing..I just thought it was funny when they were all happy about another kid from another team not being able to pitch..Thats all.. I did some of the work at the field and I was there early and overheard it..Vidor having to play us and then turn around and play Orange the same night I believe hurt them pitching wise ..because it was on The SAME DAY by "rules".now if Vidor would have played Orange Thursday with a game 2 following then in my opinion it would have been a better game last night. I hope you arent trying to imply that Vidor coaches were to blame because there pitching wasnt available..?? It may or may not have been a better game. We will never know. What I am saying is that it's a coaches job to manage his pitching, period. I have no idea what Vidor has or doesn't have so I couldn't speak on whether they did a good job of that or not. So what I spoke on is exactly what ZI said. Orange had every single pitcher available and that's good coaching. There wasn't and never will be any hidden meanings in my post. I will say what I mean and I TRY not to speak about other teams because unless you are involved you have no idea what their strengths and weaknesses are.
  12. Congratulations also go out to Vidor. You have nothing to hang your heads about. Yall are a great team.

  14. I'm not going to call kids out on this message board. Errors are part of the game. I gave Vidor all the credit in the world for hitting the ball. By no means am I making excuses and I've said that more than once now. Good luck to both teams. Vidor has good kids and at least one almost half decent coach right Corey! The other two coaches are probably what pulls them through. Just kidding. I hope it's a great game but I must say I hope Orange comes out on top. Have fun! You must have took it wrong.I am just saying I thought Orange played a good game last night..not wanting to call any kids out at all..In my opinion thay played a good game and I tell you what ,after yall came back on us that night I thought it was going to be a repeat. The double play killed us. We have to jump out to a better start tonight.

  16. The Vidor bats along with the errors from Orange is what determined the outcome. That being said, an umpire at this level should know the rules. We should have caught the courtesy runner ourselves and called it to the attention of the director since the umpire didn't know the rule. Again, that was just disappointing not what caused us to lose the game.
  17. Vidor's bats were extrememly hot last night. However I think Orange's defense is what got them in trouble.
  18. It was an ugly night for Orange. Vidor beat us in Pinto and in Mustang. Good job guys. Keep playing hard. It's good to see kids in the Golden Triangle learning the game. Go Orange.
  19. While I'm at work. The two of you have nothing to do but talk about me. At least yall are leaving someone else alone.
  20. I don't know who even said it but they were refering to league ball when talking about watering down. When you remove kids, even average kids from the league then you are watering down. I haven't heard anyone say that the all-star teams are not as good as they would have been if the select kids were playing. Let's not start something that hasn't been said. At least I don't know anyone that has said it.
  21. I'm not coaching but by no means do I think Vidor 2 and Groves are not a force to be reckoned with.
  22. I already apologized if you weren't talking to me. The Groves team will be fine. Good luck Orange. Yea TOM!!! ;D I know that kind of burned my behind too.
  23. I already apologized if you weren't talking to me. The Groves team will be fine. Good luck Orange.
  24. I just had that conversation with some friends at lunch about being a ballpark rat. I will be bringing the two mice with me tonight also.
