That's exactly what we are expecting. We will have two good organizations coming together to become one really good organization. I'm looking forward to tryouts and the new season. We had this issue in Pinto this year (OYBS). We were 2 coaches short, found 1 at tryouts. Instead of turning down 12 kids we had a board member draft for the team without a coach. The VP then called all of the parents of that team and scheduled a practice. He then showed up with the gear bag and basically told them "someone has to coach this team" and left. A couple of dads then stepped up. My point is: There are other ways to handle this than just turning kids away. Man it sounds like yall had a very smart VP. There should be more like him! Yeah....but he got beat the last game of the season!!!! You know I had to do that. "Tom" Dallas got beat???? :o :'( It was classic...wasn't even close. What can I say...he got out coached. :D Kind of like you did in the World Series????????????????? Mine worked...yours didn't...one of the slowest kids steals home and doesn't even have to slide...Genius Yours didn't. I didn't tell him to bunt...you did...smart move. I didn't tell him to bunt. My coaches were supposed to tell him to take. That steal of home was geinus. I will give you credit for that.

You are the one that put up the stats saying the record was 10-2. That's a total of 12 games. Now I really don't have time to tutor you in math but you should find someone that can help you. Thank God you don't have time to do any tutoring. Seriously before you turn into a smarta$$.......THINK They won 7 of 22 games. The Mustangs won the other 15 games math major! I would think that any idiot could look and see that a 15-7 record does not mean that the team that won 7 games won almost half of the games. Thanks for your reply it explained alot.

In softball just as in baseball keeping the hitter off balance is just as important if not more important than how hard you throw. Of course we all want to see the fastball. I don't think Greg Maddox ever busted 90 but he kept the hitters out in front and off balance and he has had a pretty good career . His change up makes his 87 MPH fastball look like 95. But this is just my opinion.

The kids are getting excited. Practice starts a week from today.

If 2-2 is 50% how can 15-7 be 47%? 15-7 is 32 % according to my calculations. 17-6 is 23%, 22-5 is 18.5 %, 22-2 is 8 %, and 10-2 is 17 %. I could be wrong but it's what I came up with. Either way they have an impressive record against all teams in 4A

I don't see WOS giving up 17 much less the 21 some people are talking about. If Nederland wins it will be more like 10-7. My money is with the Mustangs but I have no idea on a score. I do think it will be close.

Orange went 0-2. My report said it just wasn't their weekend. They made a good comeback in the first game but couldn't finish. It just seemed like they couldn't get anything going. It was probably a pr move. Woody was a local that began his career at Alvin JC as a non starting utility player. Not even a pitcher.
