  1. NO POSSIBLE way they both win tonight..Bridge City will win tonight..(Jasper doesn't play til Saturday) LOL...
  2. It didn't seem like it last night... Maybe that will wake them up and make them forget about all the people telling them this would be an easy round to get through, since they were the third place team in Wharton's district
  3. Go Bridge City..Get-R-Dun..If you find something that is working early(eg. stealing bases) don't stop doing it midway through the game......Led off the 8th inning with a single by Warner just wondering why we didn't bunt him to 2nd (I do know Stringer is swinging a hot bat, I'm just wondering)

I thought you just said "people that coach our kids today deserve our respect"...I guess your not talking about 10 -16 year olds, just those on a high school varsity team..
  8. sounds like a purty good whuppin to me . I believe that is the same school that was in the state tourney last year(I'm sure some new faces)

( I just got to know your name)??? Did they teach grammer where you went to school ?? Maybe you should let someone else teach your son that...Also you did not answer my question.. Do you think Jasper has more talent than Bridge City?
  10. I like this reply...Coach Griff is a very good Teacher of the game. I'd like to hang around and read some more of these guys "Expert Oppinions" but I'm going to watch a ballgame...By the way Shadow I didnt' know you had to be a coach to post "AN OPINION" on this message board

Were you at the game your speaking of??? How about working on defending the bunt....do you really think Jasper has more talent than Bridge City????? No Way. By the way some of those (Little Leaguers) have come to me in the past telling me That I "taught" them more than any other coach they ever had including High School coaches....

All of this has been blown out of proportion..I hope it hasn't been a distraction from the task at hand this week which is to beat Needville...I made one comment, that (coach bryant) IN MY OPINION should not be considerd the coach of the year PERIOD....Several post'rs here took it and ran...
  13. I thought we were talking infielders
  14. WOW... That is some feat..How old of a guy are you? I should be able to figure out who you are .. I only know of that happening once or twice in this area..
  15. No High school ball if that it what your asking..Coached from 5 year olds to 16 year olds in colt league...Not to brag but at least a few that I have had the pleasure of coaching, have made to the College level....How about you??
  16. Really glad to see him doing well..The only minus is that he is not able to finish playing out his senior season..Who knows maybe with his determination he will go on to the next level... Good Luck to Jaylon and his Jasper teammates
  17. If you saw every game this year, you were in Jasper for the first game with them. I along with other people that saw the game.. They were, plain and simple (out coached).. Agree or disagree???
  18. Excellent talent in this area.. I do see some of the area's Little League programs slipping a bit today.. i'm not really sure why
  19. Thanks for the back-up.. It is much easier to take a team "loaded" with talent to the playoffs, what a great coach can do is win with a bunch of average Joes.....
  20. They showed up the last few years because they dropped to 3A where they should have been all along..Like red said this is a product of good Little League and other prior high school baseball programs (again in my opinion)
  21. I have played ,coached and umpired baseball for 38 years..I am still no expert, but like I said before have witnessed 30+ games that Bryant has (coached) including the semi final game last year, and IN MY OPINION he is not a candidate for Coach of the year Period....
  22. Being visitors can sometimes be an advantage.. Its kind of nice to jump out in front early and give your pitcher a couple of runs to work with....
  23. Bridge City's Chase Warner has made some outstanding plays at First Base this year...Also has saved a bunch of throwing errors by digging them out of the dirt.
  24. Yes Bulldog, you are correct again.. Warner had the two RBIs in the second or third inning whith two outs that put them ahead 3-1....
  25. I thought maybe he was someone I didn't know about?????
