For small Scholls junior, Orangefield has a free ticket to the SuperbowI. They will beat Kountze in first round and should handle WOS W in second round. They will play either LCM or WOS B. LCM has BC R in first round. Either team to win will have a challenge against WOS B in the second round.

The LCM and WOS is now correct. WOS B is undefeated, and LCM lost to OF and WOS B. Jasper is out due to a paper work issue. The story is on another thread about SuperbowI predictions. I would guess (should know for sure later today) that LCM will face OF in round one. WOS B will get a Bye. Winner of that will play WOS B in round two, and that winner will go to the SuperbowI vs the winner from the other small conference (BC, Ktz, WOS W and Jasper). Hate that Jasper is out because they would have been 1st in their conference. They had a great showing last year and won the SuperbowI in several age groups.

Thanks for the info Mistro. I didn't know what had happened. When we were set to play WOS W a few weeks ago, Jasper was playing WOS B, and I was told the game didn't matter due to missing paperwork. Hate that for Jasper. I would think WOS B is the team to beat. Nothing against OF, but they were defeated by WOS B already.

Maybe you can enlighten the rest of us as to what happened. I just heard a couple of weeks ago that Jasper didn't turn in their paperwork. Not sure what that entails. I can assure you that LCM wasn't mad at you. It was a good game, and Jasper Jr. came to play and get revenge from getting beat earlier in the year. This year Jasper wouldn't be in the same division with LCM, so even if we were mad, it wouldn't matter.

I have a feeling WOS will come out ahead -but will be a great game.. OF only lost to WOS by 1 point and beat LCM 26-20 which in my opinion OF was having an off day vs the game they played against WOS-B - I think OF has a solid team ( all 3 of these teams are good) wouldn't sweep OF under the rug just yet!!! Think this will be very interesting.... Don't count LCM out so soon. No doubt LCM had an off day against OF. Don't forget 20 to 6 up until 2 minutes left in the first half. I do agree that all 3 teams are good. Matter of fact, they are some of the best in the league as indicated by WOS beating Nederland Black. Guaranteed to be a good round of playoffs and SuperbowI no matter who wins.

FYI...our QB weighed last night at 107. Pollock weighed him in at registration on the same scales used by everyone else. Guaranteed Pollock wouldn't let us cheat.

Then again, WOS B beat Nederland B last weekend. Looks like small school can hang with large school after all. Bet that was embarrassing. That's like Lamar beating a SEC team, according to how good Ned B is supposed to be.

Agreed. I would like to see us play up with big schools. We have beaten Nederland in the past, and I would bet we could hang. Would we beat Ned B this year? Probably not. From what I hear, they are really good. I would think that we would have a respectable record if playing large school ball.

I know we are looking forward to it. Ready to show Houston, Lafayette, and others about those SETX boys.

Dawg - I'm guessing this is junior, as you have brought up the qb a couple of times. Lest you forget, everyone has to weigh in on the same scale. I can assure you that the qb weighed in just like every other kid. At that time he was within the required weight. If he has grown since then, there is not an additional weigh in. I can say that his dad is the coach and does not have him on anything to make him bigger (he's 10 after all). Not sure his current weight, but he weighed in like everyone else. Your comments suggest your jealousy of him. Bet you would love a qb that size on your team.

Old Dog - I'm told that WOS B beat Orangefield. If LCM beats WOS B and holdsee them to no more than 12 points, then LCM would be first seed. If WOS wins, they will be first seed (assuming they beat Orangefield - I did not verify that), and LCM and Orangefield will tie for second, bringing the second seed down to points scored against. Jasper, as I understand it, won't be in the playoffs due to not turning in their paperwork. I have not verified that but was told this when they played WOS B last week. All in all, either WOS B or LCM will be first seed, leaving Orangefield and the lose this week to battle for a chance at the superbowl. In actuality, I find the superbowl a little ridiculous. If WOS B wins this weekend and takes first seed, they should play a team they have not faced yet. I've always found it silly to play a team that you've already beaten for the superbowl. Then again, Jasper beat an undefeated LCM last year. If history is correct, a WOS B victory this weekend should find Orangefield and WOS B in the superbowl ( WOS B as first seed and Orangefield after defeating LCM again). If LCM wins this weekend, then reason would say that LCM will face WOS B (either LCM or WOSB as first see depending on points and the other should be able to defeat Orangefield as WOS has in the past and if LCM beats WOS, then maybe LCM had an off day last time they played Orangefield).

Junior Small School LCM vs. WOS B

I'm interested in the WOS B vs Ned B junior game this week. Honestly think Ned will win, but I'm interested to see if it's any competition. Nederland needs to contain the outside. Those boys love to run sweep and let their speed take over.

if this is like the team we played in junior high, good luck to the cardinals. I remember walking up to the line to see feet that seemed to stretch a mile. My goal on defense was to stand strong, and when they ran over me, I would grab their legs to tackle them. This boys looked like grown men. Bet some of them were.
