  1. No Svoboda, Serna, Partain, or Bender from West Brook. All deserve some recognition. Serna and Partain batted in the high .300's/low .400's for the season and Svoboda was all district in a tough 21-5A district. Bender threw a No Hitter against LC Barbe. It seems a little strange that they are no even honorable mention
  2. I think HJ has all of tools to win this game, and they are hot enough and talented enough to beat BC.
  3. Took them to the wood shed??? What about 2007! As I seem to recall WB stopped keeping score around the third inning because it got so out of hand. And who says "take out to the wood shed" anyway? I would like to say that everyone needs to stop taking these scrimmages so seriously I heard from a Nederland player last year that their ranking jumped up a spot because they beat West Brook in a scrimmage (By the way Beau Helmke vs Steven Tubbs was a fair fight ). Let's worry about games that actually matter this year.
  4. Fazio and Steinhagen at Kelly are both very impressive at what they do. The one-two punch of Svoboda and Bender at WB complimented by Wallace behind the plate will definately contribute to a great deal of their success this season
  5. West Brook -- Will Partain First Baseman / Outfielder (college committment for 2009 baseball season to UT-Dallas)
  6. Thad Lycan at West Brook VJ Bunner at Vidor Dylan Lundy at HJ
  7. Beaumont did not get a game canceling amount last night but it is supposed to start pouring later during the day. The coaches may have to cancel
  8. I think WB will cruise through the first two rounds if they keep playing as well as they have been. I will be at the Pasadena v WB games and I look forward to the intensity of the players and the hilarious WB dugout.
  9. He threw his glove harder than he throws his fastball.. I think if it got some good back spin it could have carried out into the Channelview Parking lot. I guess Tubbs was just pumped from watching the 300. He wanted to kill something.
  10. Ever heard of Aaron Benders? He runs a either a 4.2 or 4.1 forty. I can't remember, but it has been said then when he turns out the lights at night, he is in bed before the room gets dark. Honestly, who cares who the fastest person in 2a is... Besides people in 2a
  11. Kyle Green, and for a WB fan to say that! He thoroughly impressed me and I truly believe that great things will come out of the Vidor program very soon
