  1. I don't know who would win out of WOS/Memorial, but it would be a close game. I don't see either team winning by more than 2 tds. The coaching edge of course would go to WOS. They're champs. I would give an edge to WOS because they are a Championship team. Been there done that. PAM is trying to do that. Nobody in their right mind would judge png/wos scrimmage being the deciding factor of who you would give the edge to for the simple fact RJ couldn't run. That played a big role in the game being close with PAM. Plus, the team they were and are now are completely different. The momentum you start the season off won't be the same as when you finish. They're a much better team now as well as Memorial. WOS/PAM would be the best game in the area, right behind the PNG game which was great.
  2. There's also GTreplay.com, but it glitches at times, so YouTube is better.
  3. You guys can go to YouTube and type in GTreplay to watch a video of PAM-PNG game.
  4. I would give Jones more looks at qb, probably most of the second half, and for sure all of the 4th qt. If Ladia was healthy, I would like to see him throw the ball also.
  5. I would practice on different pass plays. Protection schemes. It won't be really competitive, so why not get some different looks at passing play. Can't keep doing the same ole same.
  6. Bro, don't get this CLOWN goin. Since he feels it necessary to use ELEMENTARY tactics referring to kids. Who would talk up for a team all this time, then the moment something happens that he doesn't like, casts a negative shadow over the whole program, team/kids included. Again I say that's beyond WEAK for a supposed GROWN MAN. It is what it is bro. If its cool with him, I hope he stays on that side and doesn't dirty the PA stands with his presence. A disgrace.
  7. That's why everyone has to read before getting ahead of themselves. We all know if you have a all time great receiver and a avg qb at the helm, its not gon work out too good. PNG has an excellent team, but they have the special qb for the next 2 1/2 yrs. I never said he was a 1 man team, but he does play the most important position on the team. Without Vincent, the Titans D isn't that strong in the secondary. Not saying the Titan D isn't good, but who has a top DB in the nation on their team. Vincent is a special player. Roschon is a special player. GAMECHANGERS. Vincent will be scored on and Johnson won't always have a stellar game. They are players we don't see all the time.
  8. I agree, but no word was mentioned about the greatness of this team until everyone saw their qb. Many had PNG not even making the playoffs. You gotta have that QB or RB is all I'm saying. Many college and NFL teams are trash because they don't have a decent QB. They get the praise when things are going right along with the coach, and they get the blame if they play sub par. Just facts. Lebron can make EVERY team in the NBA a playoff team and Most a championship contender. 1 great player can do that. Not taking nothing away from the TEAM, but who wants to watch a boring hard working TEAM other than family and friends that don't have that or those exciting and talented players.
  9. Barry Switzer actually downplayed the talent of Marcus Dupree as freshman at OU and didn't start him from the jump because it didn't look right starting a freshman and these guys have been on the TEAM all of these years, and he comes to his first practice and makes them look bad because he was a once in a lifetime athlete. Now later on, the same coach complained when he went out of a game with cramps rushing for over 200 yds in the first half and had the AUDACITY to say we lost because Dupree was out of shape and couldn't rush for 400 yards that game. Not the TEAM could have played better, but 1 player didn't rush for 400 yds.
  10. PNG has a TEAM (ALL PLAYERS) every year. They don't always have that top notch QB or RB. My statement was to say that you guys are in the situation this year because of a special Sophmore talent at the QB position. I don't downplay the TEAM aspect of any competitive sport, but certain players make the difference between a contender and a pretender. Didn't mean to say you downplayed anything, but I just meant you have a beast at quarterback for the next few years. They don't come around that often.
  11. Hate? lol Read the threads bro. An indian downplayed the importance of having RJ on the team and the team is the reason for the success, not just one player. I stated that you have to have a really good QB or RB on offense to do what PNG is doing this yr. You guys have that special QB. Now.... YOUR point is for the comment is what exactly??? I was acknowledging that you guys have that special player. Every city in the area has a TEAM, some don't have THAT player that can push them over the top. Makes sense? Read, my friend. lol Read... NOW PICK UP THE MIC AND PUT IT AWAY........LMBO
  12. I read and comment. That has been said MANY times. lol Just read different threads.
  13. I honestly don't remember PAM fans complaining about playing in 6a or playing against teams with more talent or schools with 4,400 student enrollment. Almost 1,000 or 2,000 more students. Something to think about.
  14. The same people that say the kid would be a star at PNG or Nederland are the same ones that bash him for being a "soft" player. We have to understand the difference between a passing pocket qb (Kadon), a run first QB that can throw (Jones), and a true duel threat QB (Johnson). You also have a just run QB in Vidor. Let the kids play ball and stop acting like the outcome of the games will change our lives in some way. Kadon, Jones, Ladia, Johnson, McZeal, Riggs, Vincent will all go off to college and enjoy they're youth and this will all be a memorable chapter n their lives. While the same people will be on the same message boards talking about how horrible this or that kid is. Instead of keeping it classy and just talking sports. Grown men and women. Let's keep it respectful and about what's on the field.
  15. The only issue I have with some is the name calling of kids. Bambi?? Not cool. Regardless what anybody thinks, that kid is getting a full ride to college to play football. Something's he's earned. Regardless if he plays the way anybody on this earth think he's supposed to be playing. Calling a kid names on a message board is beyond weak IMO. Coaches being criticized is part of the gig, we all get that, but when you bring name calling of players is where any father (coach or not) would draw the line. In my humble opinion. I honestly can't stand any adult belittling a kid. I've heard grown men down T-ball players, middle school players, and high school players and its all the same to me. DEPLORABLE !!!
  16. More than likely is the history of PORT ARTHUR teams instead of just MEMORIAL vs PNG-Ned. If the two cities didn't have HISTORY, this would just be a game of undefeated teams. This is more than a game of undefeated teams. City history always plays factors in games like this. If not, why so much passion from fans from both sides of the spectrum?? You can't have history from teams that have never played before, so my educated guess is thay they're talking about something else. lol Why do an editorial, if it isn't history btw the cities.
  17. Naw, this kid is a pocket passer. Saw him do some things in a scrimmage that were impressive. Some things to work on, but he'll be pretty good.
  18. I haven't recalled a Titan fan say PAM is the greatest team. In many people's opinions they are the best team in the district THIS YEAR. lol If PAM wasn't in the district, it would overwhelmingly be PNG everyone saying that about, but I don't think lil sly remarks would be made about them. So much as to hope they lose in the playoffs so some of you can validate that the Almighty Titans (opinions being shared) aren't as good a WE think they are. For one year if your team is really good, despite other districts great teams, I would assume you have school pride or some people talk a little noise as some of us do. But for grown men to get in their feelings about high school ball is ridiculous. We teach our kids to be humble, but nothing is humble about the game when you're in the heat of battle. If my nephew is in a game and the line is talking trash; I don't want him to be humble; I want him to be a dog on the field. Be humble afterwards, but not to the point where you take away that fire you need to be competitive.
  19. Imo, it'll come down to Png's Qb play, and if he's able to have enough time to create passing or running the ball. He's dynamic doing both. Png's secondary and wr's have to step up big for Png to have a chance. I don't see PAM losing, even in a close game, but this will be the game of the year in the district. Atmosphere will be electric. The outcome of the game doesn't change my life. If I see any area kid make it to the next level, I'm happy for them. Kadon has committed and Jones has offers. Ladia kid will be in line soon after. Johnson for sure will be getting offers soon, and I'm sure he'll play qb at the next level. Vidor qb looks a lil Tim Tebowish at times. lol Man, the PNG_Mem game will have an electrifying atmosphere and I personally can't wait until Friday comes.
  20. Too much history in the game, so I understand....
  21. So is this game considered Mid County Madness also????
  22. [Hidden Content] Keitha Jones Jr. middle of the video is his qb play. Played db and qb last yr. One of the top athletes in the state. Hands down.
  23. I never saw Ford play before, but I heard that too. I have no idea what they're gonna do next year, but they'll be in good hands either way. The Jones kid is a throwback to Singleton and Fisk kind of player as a runner, not certain what kind of arm he has. Saw him warming up with the qbs before a few games. The Ladia kid has a really nice arm and is a true passer. Either could thrive in any program IMO. Good situation to be in as coach going forward if you ask me. Kadon is gonna be ok at the next level with the right qb coach. He has a cannon for an arm, coaching will take care of the rest
