True, but what was also interesting was how Clayton was saying (in the PA News) that he looks at West Brook and sees kids that he should be coaching. What's comical about it is that 2 yrs. ago, look at how many kids (mostly star atheletes) defected from WB to play at Blowzen, but you didn't see the OHS coach sending them back did you? In fact OHS was conceived (IMO) by BISD to a tailored school (if you will) that could produce a serious run for the state title. But now that it's obvious that it's not going to happen, students are migrating to a school that provides a better chance for that to happen...West Brook.

I didn't miss my prediction by too much. I said PNG by 13, but it was by 16 instead.....even better!

I was really impressed with him too. He had alot of poise back there and looked as if he had been with them all season. Of course, it doesn't hurt to chunk a 30 yd TD pass right out of the shoot either. Nice job INDIANS!

For the whoopin' that PNG handed Blowzen tonight? Please don't use the old ones like "The refs cheated" or "PNG's clock malfunctioned". Let's hear something original this year, o.k. fellas? BTW, if the ref excuse could be used, PNG would have all rights this year. The refs were KILLIN' us w/ those bogus pass interferance calls. The QB is an outstanding athelete. Too bad he has no support to speak of.

Yep, but that's a whole different problem over there. It's like, "We're gonna find us a coach to take us to state...or ELSE" They don't give the coaches enough time to get things rollin'.

The BIGGEST SHOCKER??? That would be if Ozen doesn't produce a laundry list of sad excuses for getting beat by PNG. :cry:

My worst memory would have to be 2 yrs ago in the 2nd round when PNG played #1 Kilgore. The weather was so bad that the game was delayed until about 10 o'clock. So, that meant that the fans had to sit in the torrential rain for around 4 hrs. THEN the bad stuff happens..Kilgore score like 4 TD's in about 5 plays and we get stomped like 48-0. Ugh!

Easy there L-Towner. First, there's no need to yell (all caps). Second, if you read his post, and I'm assuming you can read, you'll see that he DID go to the game. He said he rushed home to watch the highlights. Now, about your argument... you can be at a game for a very short time and STILL find some good highlights for ea. team. That's all he was saying, that Ch.6 seemed to focus on Silsbee, that's all. Now, I'm giving you a friendly warning about the language. Disagree all you want, that's fine, but you're getting close to deletion with the attitude and language. Have a nice day!

Yeah SilsbeeD, that's what I meant about a sloppy game. Both sides had trouble holding onto the ball. I'd be interested to know just how many fumbles/penalties there actually were.

Thanx. It's always good to win, no matter if it's close or not. I really expected more out of Silsbee's offense, judging by their 1st 2 outings. Our D is pretty good though. I just didn't expect them to hold Silsbee to 9 pts. LOTS of penalties and turn-overs...on both side of the ball. Kinda sloppy actually.

I agree it's in poor taste (shoulda been Miller light instead of Bud hehe)[relax, just a pun]. Alcohol should be omitted from any High school event. Heck, you can't even smoke anywhere on school property, you gotta go outside the gate, and alcohol is worse, so the UIL should step in and negate any sales. With that said, i never saw anyone w/ a beer either, so it wasn't much of a prob. BTW, do these venues have any consience at all??? 3 sm drinks, 1 popcorn & 1 nachos......$27!!!!! There oughta be a law against that.

etbu The QB was great. Other than a few passes overthrown that were obvious TD's, he's got a gun for sure. Threw 1 td on the run, right on the money. Good crowd too. One article said that PNG/Ned combined to sell 20,000 tickets. It was alot of fun.

What game were you at???? The game I saw was the one where PNG was dominated early on with ZERO 1st downs and a lopsided 150-15 yds offensive in favor of brenham' date=' which included ZERO passing yards for the Indians. Yet after adjusting their game the Indians outrushed the Cubs, shut down their running game, started catching some [i']awesome passes (incl. having some really long gains called back), and forced them to stick with the passing game, which was easy for the #1 QB and #1 TEAM in the state. Brenham has so much speed that you just can't defend that all night long. Personally, I'm very pleased with 33-9, especially coming from a team that most pick to be 4th in their own district. Brehnam's just lucky that you don't handicap football games, or it would have been a differnet story. Overall, the Indians played much better against an awesome team than most experts expected.
