  1. If it was pick'ems, I would pick Jasper. Crosby better get ready for a fight or else it will get nasty. Jasper always has a tough team.
  2. I support our team, just think it will get out of hand. Just a prediction, hopefully I'm wrong and we shock the Mustangs.
  3. I'm glad as well that we're playing Friendswood instead of Santa Fe. It will most likely be a blowout, but atleast we can work on some things before district starts.
  4. I like the playing the same team twice in a week. It gives multiple kids a chance to step up. I guess there could be arguments either way though.
  5. Shadow Creek is a lot of kids that would be going to Manvel. It's the newest Alvin ISD school. They will be a powerhouse in the near future. Their mascot is the Sharks, which is pretty cool.
  6. Biaplayer, you'll get to see LSU and tu play for two years in a row starting Shug's freshman year. Geaux Tigers!
  7. Cougar14.2 is right, that's why I see us being a playoff contender most years, but to think we will be a powerhouse is insane thinking. I think for the most part, parents are good being in the playoff mix every year, but nobody thinks we're running the tables to Dallas. If we avoid PAM, we could go 2 to 3 rounds, but that's pushing it. I think at the end of the day, most parents are good with that being the limit for now. I may just be talking out of the side of my neck though. lol
  8. Herndon does live here. We are friends with them. He has a couple kids in school. Kids are big. Youngest son is a basketball player.
  9. I agree, but we still not getting legit athlete's. LT and Aledo are places where people with money and great athlete's are moving to, not refinery jobs that barely make $300,000 house note with kids that average players. Those schools you mentioned have NFL players moving their kids there with good bloodlines and legit personal coaches that have great track records of producing exceptional athletes. Not much on East side of Houston for personal trainers and families with almost too big of house note to afford the incedible cost of personal trainers. Lol
  10. This is without shades on, BH won't win district. We are for the most part, the same team as last year without the go to weapon. Now, maybe there will be that one kid that steps up this year, but I think you will see is a combined effort, maybe not that one person with the break away speed though. We will have a really good receiving corp. BH is in a tough spot in that we won't beat Crosby this year, which means we get PNG again first round if we make the playoffs. Last year was close because PNG was devastated by injuries and we still couldn't contain one player along with a lot of int's. I see it almost like last year where BH probably finishes third, but hoping we pull off a couple of miracles. People were talking about maybe getting transfers, but heck nobody can afford to live around here. New homes are starting around $310,000. Alot of building going on, but I don't what these folks do to afford the homes being built.
  11. Most kids are just average to below average football players in high school, which means if they play multiple sports, majority are not getting that much playing time and they become bored with football. They see maybe an opportunity in another sport where they excel at and have a better chance at competing. Result is kids leaving football.
  12. 7 on 7 is undefeated, and still run bubble screen right, bubble screen left. Lol
  13. As soon as everyone on here from 5a up understands that nobody in the coverage area 21-5a and 22-5a are powerhouses, the better off we will be. That's including the PAM supporters. We can have board debates all day, but deep down ya'll know neither district has a powerhouse. Very good talent throughout the area though. Best backfield will possibly be PAM, but the QB position is a question mark since he's new to the position this year (If I read the posts correctly).
  14. Oh, I know. Lol No problem
  15. Oh, I get all of that Ballboy96. I have my 2019 on paper from the showcase from them showing the Velo. He was 82 mph from 3rd to 1st, 82 mph from OF, and pitching was 82 mph on fastball. I thought it was odd that all three were the same speed, but whatever. I'm just glad we have a baseline to start with. We play for a team in Houston for Summer ball, so we have options. I just didn't know some of the ins and outs on recruiting. I agree with you though on dad's talking Velo because I personally know some folks with inflated numbers. That's the reason why I had him go to a showcase and get it from a respectable 3rd party. lol
  16. Kind of new to the recruiting thing. Guess trying to get input from others that went through the recruiting process. We are currently working the smaller schools angle, NAIA, D3 (no athletic scholarship) right now. Probably going backwards, but watching other people, they are wanting D1 only. I think mine isn't at that level all the way around, not consistent enough. Hopefully, he can get numbers up and get in front of the right people. Have a couple of prospect camps on our schedule coming up at specific colleges, so maybe that will help. I've noticed some very successful kids in the golden triangle that didn't get anything until late senior year, that's what worries us. Anyways, I'm rambling. LOL
  17. Had a kid just finish up a showcase and got velo numbers for IF, OF, and pitching. All three were in the 80's. He will be a Junior this year. Are these decent numbers for the recruiting scene? Trying to get some input. The IF velo was from 3rd not SS.
  18. The "Atmosphere" is getting warm on this board. Lol
  19. Jaiden Howard is going to emerge this year. I thought last year though, Crosby was a little conservative with him throwing short slants, screens, etc. Maybe it was because we played ya'll so early in the season. I never really seen him throw the long ball. I do think he's pretty talented though. Should be fun to watch this year.
  20. BH will have a pretty tall and good WR corp, not sure if they'll be in the top of district though. I know we have depth there. I guess we're about to find out.
  21. He played with my son for 4 years starting at 9 years old. He's not a recent move in. You have ignore the goofiness that's being spewed. Lol
  22. I misread somehow. Disregard. Lol
  23. Disregard, my mistake. Lol
  24. BH shouldn't be ranked ahead of PAM, that's kind of laughable really. We'll be decent this year, but don't see us better than PAM.
  25. Pakronos, How you gonna do Shug like that. Last year as a Sophomore, he got PNG to the third round. The same amount of rounds as PAM made it to after bumping down from 6A. If you're an athlete, you're an athlete know matter black, white, whatever. You keep bouncing around the race deal. PNG doesn't get anymore Regional or state exposure as PAM. Heck, look at the athletes that's came out of PA, now look at PNG? You're argument that Shug is getting more exposure because he goes to white school is laughable. College coaches go to where the athletes are no matter the make up of the team. He did run into a buzzsaw against PAM, but what helps Shug is his grades. If you're a really good athlete with tremendous grades, guess what schools are going slobber over you. Sounds like you got some jealousy my man. Now, I'll take a seat and eat my popcorn to see what you spit out next.
